Grace and Kellen at State

As they've done all season, Grace Anderson and Kellen McDonnell proved to be among the best runners in the state in the State Championship at Fortress Obetz.  Grace Anderson finished 57th out of 185 runners and Kellen McDonnell finished 39th out of 186 runners, a big improvement from his 78th place finish last year.  Great job to both on representing the Edison Chargers on the biggest stage!

Cross Country at Regionals

The Tiffin Regional cross country meet featured some of the top teams and individuals in the state. Kellen McDonnell and Grace Anderson were once again near the front of the pack, as both qualified as individuals for the State Meet this Saturday at Fortress Obetz. Despite many great performances, the teams season came to an end. Ava Gardner, Everett Gfell, Logan Facemire and Quintin Cox ended their seasons with career best times and Chase King and Mary Anderson completed 4 dedicated and successful years with the program. Thanks for all your years of leadership and growth!

Boys District Champs! Girls 3rd

It was a great day in Galion for the District Cross Country meet. Kellen McDonnell, Jackson
Michaelis and Everett Gfell all finished top ten to lead the boys to the District Championship.
Everett and Jacoby Valimont both ran their PRs. On the girls side, Grace Anderson finished 3rd,
with Lily Risner and Maylie Weilnau finishing 17th and 18th to lead the girls team to a 3rd-place
finish. This qualifies both teams for the regional meet on Saturday in Tiffin with a trip to the
state meet on the line. Go Chargers!

Cross Country at SBC

At the SBC Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Tiffin, Kellen McDonnell was the individual Bay Division champion leading the boys to the team title, beating Huron by 2 points! Jackson Michaelis also earned all-conference honors. Logan Facemire ran an inspiring race, beating his PR by over a minute and Gaius Hotchkiss also ran his best time. The girls team finished as SBC runner-up. Grace Anderson finished 4th overall, with Maylie Weilnau and Lily Risner also earning all-conference honors. Rory Conrad ran her lifetime best. The road to state begins this Saturday at the District Championship in Galion.

Cross Country Tri Meet

The Charger Cross Country teams defended the home course and broke out their new uniforms in style by defeating Norwalk and Western Reserve in a 2-mile race.  Grace Anderson won with Maylie Weilnau finishing runner-up.  Lily Risner, Zoey Corfman, and Aili Corfman rounded out the scoring all with top-ten finishes.  Jackson Michaelis led the boys team with a runner up finish.  Everett Gfell, Quentin Cox, Chase King and Jacoby Valimont all finished top 8 to round out the scoring.  It is now SBC Week which will take place in Tiffin on Saturday morning. Go Chargers!
