Morning Announcements - Friday, September 13, 2019

Happy Birthday to Bryson Harrington, Kade Romell, Trinity Schafer, Jalen Kegarise, Sadie Sarkozi, Seth Yontz, Hunter Vogus and Sean Krieg!

Today at 10:30, boys golf is at the Erie County Invite. At 7:00 tonight, varsity Charger football is at Western Reserve. On Saturday, the cross country teams will be at the Galion Invite. At 10:00 Girls JV soccer is at Willard, at 11:00, JV football is at Huron, at noon, boys JV soccer is at Willard, and at 1:30, boys golf is at the Norwalk Invite.

The boys golf team put a scare into first place Margaretta losing a close one 181 to 186. Aden Hall led the Chargers with a 43 followed by Noah Pulaski 45. Matthew Pounds had 48 and Connor Betts rounded out the scoring with a 50.

The girls tennis team beat Tiffin Calvert on Thursday 5-0. Winning at singles were Jayla Medina, Emily Vogus and Alli Vogus. Winning at doubles were the teams of Kaylee Ries/Torri Keyser and Emily Moore/Lindsey Kowalski. The team is now 10-3 on the year.

Last night on Thunderbird  South the girls golf team improved their record to 12-1 overall . 168-Edison to Hopewell’s 194 .  Jordan Pruitt sizzled in the wind shooting a 34, Lauren Neher backed the team with a 41 and Hunter Barylski chipped in a 44 and Freshman Ava Grant closely behind with 49.  The girls will go Sept 17 to Fremont Country Club to compete for a chance at a SBC championship . Keep Believing and Recharging!! Good Luck Ladies 

The varsity volleyball team beat Port Clinton 25-7, 25-17, 25-13.  Lilli Schuster served 21 points with 4 aces and also had 7 kills.  Kira Appeman had 9 kills, Natalie Lambert had 9 points and 8 digs, Halina Krul served 6 points and had 2 aces, and Lindsay Roberts had 5 kills.

The boys varsity soccer team improved to 6-1-1 on the season with an impressive 2-1 win over Oak Harbor. Goals scored by Dylan O’Dell and Zarek Yoder. The boys are back at it on Monday at Huron with a 7PM kickoff.

A reminder that Lead 2 Hope t shirt order forms are due today! Please bring your form & money to the library. 

Any student interested in joining Key Club are reminded to pay your $10 dues to the office by Sept. 20.

Students interested in Speech & Debate are reminded to turn in their interest surveys this week. There will be a short meeting today in the library to vote for club officers, so try to attend!

Attention Firelands Challenge Team Members: Our practice scheduled for TODAY has been cancelled.

The Firelands Challenge Academic team members are excused at 11:30 today, so that they may eat lunch during 5th period.  The academic team has a practice round at EHOVE and the bus leaves at noon.  Team members should meet at the front door in the cafeteria at noon. 

Reminder to Edison High School New Students - 8th period today you should meet in room 607.
