Morning Announcement for Monday, September 16

Today’s Trivia Question: How many minutes can a beaver hold his breath under water? 

The lunch menu for today is  quesadilla or burrito or chef’s choice Grab and Go or salad bar, refried beans, fresh veggies, assorted fruit,  and milk.  

The sixth grade academic challenge team will have practice during lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.  Please bring your lunch to Mrs. Hansen's room. If you are buying your lunch, please go to the front of the line to get your lunch. 

Power of the Pen tryouts begin tonight. Those who are trying out are reminded that they must attend two writing sessions on two different days. Tryouts are Monday thru Thursday.  There are ywo writing sessions each day- 3:00-4:00 and 4:00 -5:00. If you have conflicts, please see Mrs. Hansen.

Congratulations to Alaina Keegan, Lizzie Campbell, Elena Moore, George Rhodes, and Trevor Leimeister whose mini sagas written during writing club last year were selected to be published. If any other students were notified their work is going to be published, please let Mrs. Hansen know.

The seventh grade academic challenge practice for tonight has  been cancelled.  Your next practice is Wednesday from 3-4.

Student Council Candidates are reminded that a copy of your speech is due today to Mrs. Bishop before your name goes on the ballot.  

The answer for today’s trivia question is that beavers can hold their breath for 45 minutes under water.
