Morning Announcement for Tuesday, March 12

Today’s Trivia Question: What percentage of the population can donate blood?

The lunch menu for today is chicken patty sandwich or chef’s choice sandwich or salad bar, potato wedges, fresh veggies, assorted fruit, and milk. Hip Hip Hooray! Tomorrow is Domino's Day in the Charger Cafe! Be sure to join us for a delicious lunch of Domino's Smart Slice Pizza!

Don’t let those memories that you created this school year escape. Keep them forever by ordering your 2018-2019 EMS Yearbook.  The yearbook has 48 pages with lots and lots of pictures and costs only $15. Bring your money and envelope back to school and see that Mrs. Bishop gets it or you may order directly online. The deadline is March 18.

Tonight is the American Red Cross Blood Drive from 2-7 p.m. here in the gym.  Remember for every donor that you recruit you get a chance to enter the drawing for various prizes.

Attention 6th, 7th, and 8th Graders: Penny Wars starts tomorrow and runs through Wednesday March 20. Each grade has a bottle that they may drop their donations into.  Pennies will add to the total, while silver like nickels, dimes, quarters and one dollar coins or bills will subtract from the total. Edison Middle School Student Council representatives will be in the gym every morning to assist you. The grade that collects the most amount of money will be rewarded to a make you own sundae event. If you have any questions, talk to your representatives.

The answer for today’s question is that 60% of the population can donate blood, but only 5% actually go and donate blood on a yearly basis.

We would like to close with this quote from Douglas MacArthur. “The best luck of all is the luck you make for yourself.”
