The varsity girls basketball team defeated Ashland Crestview Saturday night 41 to 39 to earn a sectional championship. Hannah Vitaz paced the attack with 14 points and 7 rebounds, while Molly Houser and Aliyah Caporini added 8 points each. Alana Fidler contributed 5 points and hauled down a team high 10 rebounds. Also, Jessica Stoll tallied 4 points and 4 boards and Mariah Medina added 2 points and 3 steals. With the victory the Lady Charger basketball team tied the school record for most wins in a season with 19. Congratulations!!! The team would also like to thank the students, the staff, and the community members for their support Saturday night at Lexington. The Lady Charger varsity basketball team will be in District action Thursday night at 6:15 vs. Seneca East at Shelby High School. Hope to see you courtside.
