A Message from the Cafeteria-A reminder that starting today there will be no negative charging allowed to your lunch account. If you do not have money on your account, or money in hand, please let your parents know immediately so that you can continue to purchase breakfast and lunch. Ms Bryant will let you know the status of your account. This rule will stay in effect until the end of the school year. All 8th graders must have balanced accounts prior to 8th grade ceremony.
Tonight at 5:30 in the high school cafeteria, there will be a cheerleading parent meeting for any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade girl who is planning on trying out.
Tomorrow from 5-7 p.m. is Physical Day at the high school. The cost of a physical is $15. You must call the high school to set up an appointment. Remember in order to try out for any of the school sports, like football, cheerleading, cross country, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, or track, you must have a physical on file.
The 5th grade class is sponsoring Entrepreneurs Day tomorrow. Every grade will get a chance to visit and shop the booths. All proceeds will be given to the Tyson Gentry New Perspective Foundation this year. Don’t forget to bring in some one dollar bills so you can shop.
There will be a brief meeting immediately after homeroom on Tuesday for any 6th or 7th grade boy or girl interested in running cross country in the fall. Please go to Mrs. Vajda's room after the morning announcements.
Tonight Power of the Pen is having a fundraiser at Chipotles in Sandusky. If you are eating out tonight stop in and let them know that you supporting the EMS Power of the Pen.
Edison Middle School Student Council will be hosting an 8th grade dance for our 8th grade students. It will be held on Friday, May 31 from 6:30 -8:30 p.m. Dress Attire for the ladies is a school appropriate dress or skirt and blouse. The gentleman are to wear their plaid or khaki shorts with a collared shirt. Tickets will be sold on May 29 & 30 during lunch for $3. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Firelands Challenge tryouts are today and tomorrow after school at Edison High School in Mrs. Wallrabenstein room 402 for any current 8th grader.
All girls interested in working on their basketball skills, there will be an open gym from 7-8:30 p.m. at Edison High School gymnasium Tuesday night. Also, all girl basketball players in grades 6th & 7th grade, make sure you get your summer contract filled out and send back to Coach Schmidt.
