Happy Birthday to Jacob Lombardi, Piper Nickoli and Collin Smith!

Tonight at 7:00 Senior recognition will be held in the auditorium.  We will be honoring the accomplishments of the class of 2019

The boys track team finished a close 2nd to Oak Harbor at the SBC meet Friday night.  Ty Coon led the charge as he was named meet MVP.  Ty won the 3200, 1600, and 800 meter runs and was also a member of the winning 4X800 relay. Dylan O’Dell won the high jump with a leap of 6’4”.  Seth Kromer won the pole vault, Joe Malick finishes 2nd in the discus with a throw of 134’ , 15 feet farther than his previous best throw.  Dan Lambert was 2nd in the 3200 and 1600. Connor Romell was 2nd in the 100 & 200. Jon Hrivnak was 2nd in the 800.  Great job guys! 

Kira Appeman shut down Clear Fork, throwing a complete game shutout and leading the Charger softball team to a 6-0 victory and a Sectional Championship. The Ladies scattered 10 hits with Lindsey Fortuna and Jessica Stoll both hitting solo dingers.  Morgan Scott and Mariah Medina both added two hits while Deana Blatnik, Kayla Mancuso and Kira Appeman each had base knocks with Mancuso hitting a double. Although the girls had many outstanding defensive plays none were like the SICK backhand snag up the middle - by Grace Houser who managed to throw out the batter to end the inning with runners in scoring position!! The Ladies face Vermilion on Tuesday in league play and Galion on Wednesday to start District play

The girls track team scored 103 points and finished 3rd overall in the SBC championships last Friday night. Abby Lesniak was the outstanding track athlete of the meet for the entire bay conference. Abby won the 3200, 1600, 800 and anchored the winning 4x800 relay to secure the award. The girls compete this Wednesday in the first round of district competition. Good Luck Ladies

The boys tennis team participated in the sectional tennis tournament over the weekend. Members of the team include Lincoln Meredith, Brody Yost Nathan Spence, Carter Kramer, Kaleb Yoder, Adam Frederick and Jacob Lombardi. Congratulations to Lincoln Meredith for upsetting the no. 2 seed in singles and advancing out to the District tennis tournament this Thursday held at Bowling Green State University. Great job guys and good luck to Lincoln at Districts! 

The varsity baseball team had a successful senior day, beating Huron 4-0.  Caden Cooper gave up just one hit over 7 innings with 11 K's.  Caleb Bissell and Cooper McIntyre both doubled and singled, Jacobee Kessler doubled, Thomas Simon had a single and two RBI's, and Casey Fair singled.

The JV Blue dropped two games to Perkins on Saturday by scores of 13-7 and 6-5.  Noah Smith had a double and 3 hits, Clay Byington had a double and two hits, and Matthew Pounds had 4 hits.

Tomorrow, Drama Club members are asked to bring in non-perishable items with them to the drama Banquet. Items we are looking for are deodorant, shampoo, laundry soap, dish soap, trash bags, toothbrushes & toothpaste, tissues, paper towels.  These items will be donated to the Huron County Non-Food Bank.  Please help out with all that you can.

Attention any boys interested in playing golf on the high school golf team there will be a meeting right after school in Mr. Ceccoli's room on Wed, May 15th. The meeting will last 5 minutes.

There will be a mandatory meeting for anyone interested in cheerleading next year on Monday, May 20th at 5:30 pm in the high school cafeteria. One parent must be in attendance.  Any issues with attending this meeting, please contact the athletic office. 

Attention Student Drivers:  The lot behind the new addition is now available for parking.  If all the spots are taken in the main student lot please park behind the building toward the game soccer field.

Attention Seniors:  The annual Senior Walk will be Friday, May 24.  Please bring your cap and gown as the class will be traveling to the middle school and elementary to visit with your former teachers and to remind the younger students of the ultimate goal of graduating from high school. Seniors will be dismissed 8th and 9th periods to travel by bus to the other buildings.  EHOVE seniors are encouraged to attend as well, plan to meet at the high school at 1:00.

Student athletes are asked to schedule your sports physicals for Tuesday May 21st between 5 - 6:00.  See Mrs. Miller to schedule a time prior to the 21st.  There is a $15 fee to be paid at the time of your physical.  Physical packs can be picked up in the athletic office.
