Morning Announcements - Wednesday, January 8, 2020

At 5:00, varsity wrestling will be at home with Fremont Ross.

Nice win last night vs Lakota for both the Boys and Girls Charger Bowling teams! Leading the way for the guys was Brandon Goodrich with a sweet 450 series and Corbin Taylor with a 345 series. The ladies were led by Kaylie Harris with a nice 388 series and very close behind was Lily Shover with a 386.

All students taking Zero Hour next semester, we will meet Tuesday January 14th  during homeroom in Mr. Neuberger's classroom.  

Congratulations to our Athletes of the month for December -  Aliyah Caporini, Jake Neer and Connor Romell.  Please stop down to the athletic office to receive your awards.

Are you looking to get involved? We are starting a new Entrepreneurship Club! If you would like to own your own business one day and learn how local business owners became successful this club may be for you! We will be visiting local businesses to learn the ins and outs of how they operate! Please come to our first informational meeting on Tuesday, January 14th at 3:00pm in the Library.

The Edison Writing Center is open during all lunch periods today.  If you need help with a writing assignment, bring your lunch and your essay to Room 201 today. 5th period tutors are:  Cade Hixon & Madison Polak, 6th period tutors are: Katelyn Chenevey & Anna James and 7th period are Emily Vogus & Riley Rospert. 

A reminder that Chess Club will be meeting today after school in Mr. Newton’s room.  Even if you’ve never played before and would like to learn the game, make plans to stay! Everyone is welcome! 

Speech and Debate team, the bus for the Berea-Midpark tournament on Saturday leaves by 7:05 AM! Miss Baughman will be here for practices after school today. Be sure to sign up for a time!

This Friday and Saturday the Edison Drama Club will present two one act plays: This is Your Brain on Social Media presented by students from the middle school, and Law and Order;  Fairy Tale Unit, directed by Leo Schnellinger and presented by the Edison Drama Club.  Tickets are $5 for students and senior citizens and $6 for adults.  All tickets will be sold at the door and all seating is general admission.

Attention Drama Club members attending the area conference this Saturday.  Emergency Medical forms are available on the call board and must be completed by Friday.  The bus will load at 7:00  Saturday.  We will return by 4:00.

Attention Drama Club students, information about, and permission slips for the State Thespian Conference are available on the call board. Students interested in participating in Individual Events or applying for scholarships should start planning now.
 
The following students need to report to the Athletic Office to see Mr. Jeffrey immediately after announcements: Evan Grimm, Matt Hall, Miraya Schlessman, Kaitlin Lause, Cali Crecilius, Claire Treece, Kolin Wilson, Amanda McIntyre-Kinnard, Robert Bailey, Sydney Johnson, Noah Shmenk and Korie McKillups.
