Happy Birthday to Natalie Lambert & Dalton Rahrig!

Today at 5:30, Jv girls basketball is at Port Clinton. At 6:00 varsity wrestling is at Wadsworth with Nardonia & Norwayne.

The varsity girls bowling team lost a close match to Willard with Natalie Costello leading with a 384 and Piper Ball with a 313. The JV girls won against Willard with Emma Keefe leading the way with 297 and Allison Collins close behind with a 285

The Varsity boys also lost a close match by only 29 pins. Leading the boys was Corbin Taylor with a 392 and Kameron McDonald close behind with 372. JV boys lost as well with Kristian Brown leading the way with a 313 series!

For the month of January, NHS students will be putting daily facts on the announcements with a weekly theme pertaining to ways you can have a better, new semester. This week’s theme is to get more sleep, and our first fact is:  High school and college students are the most sleep-deprived group of people. Each person should average 7-8 hours of sleep.

The Edison Writing Center is open during all lunch periods today.  If you need help with a writing assignment, bring your lunch and your essay to Room 201 today. Today's tutors are: period 5: Kaylie Harris, Nathan Spence, 6th period: Lauren Neher & Lenease Cook and 7th period: Lili Grant and Jamie Anderson.

Edison Chess Club is meeting in Mr Newton’s room today. Even if you’ve never played before - find out what the excitement is about in room 405!

There will be a short, pre-audition meeting for Honk! Edison's spring musical, this Thursday at 3:00 in the auditorium.  The meeting is not mandatory but is open to all students interested in participating in the musical, both on stage and off.   Auditions will be next week Tuesday and Wednesday at 3:00.

Ukulele Club will meet Thursday after school in room 303.

Members of the Mock Trial team are reminded to turn in their permission slips to Mr. Meredith today and that we will be meeting today and tomorrow after school.

Students: If you are interested in learning more about trades and apprenticeship options for the future, I strongly recommend that you come on this trip.  We will be visiting the Plumbers & Pipefitters training center in Norwalk and the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers training center in Amherst on January 28.  They provide a free lunch and lots of valuable information. Speech and Debate Team, the bus for Hathaway Brown leaves at 6:35 on Saturday morning. Miss Baughman will be here after school for practices today. Remember to sign up for future tournaments and practices.
