Morning Announcements - Friday, February 14, 2020

Happy Birthday to Mikayla Payne, Connor Romell, Dax Austin, Casey Barnett, Mackenzie Wilson, Summer Thom, Dakota Thomas & Savannah Elliott!

Tonight at 5:30 Jv & varsity boys basketball will be at Port Clinton. On Saturday at 9:30, Jv wrestling will be at Margaretta Invite, and at 6:00, Jv & varsity boys basketball will be at home with Western Reserve.

Best of luck to our varsity wrestlers who will be at St. John’s in Columbus on Sunday at 10:00 for the D3 State Duals! 

The girls bowling team had another amazing end of their regular season match beating Perkins and breaking two more records. Leading the way was Kaylie Harris with a 425 series and Piper Ball with 403. Breaking the team single game with 973 and team single series of 1856. The JV also beat Perkins with Allison Collins leading the way with a 352 and Gabby Reiter with a 296. The boys took on undefeated Perkins and fell to a very good team. Leading the Charger boys was Corbin Taylor with 490 and  Brandon Goodrich with 345. Leading the Jv boys was Gideon Kellenbarger with 425 for 3 games! On to sectionals!

The Lady Chargers basketball team defeated the Huron Tigers 30-21 to move to 12-10 on the season. Aliyah Caporini scored 12 points to lead the way. Deana Blatnik scored 5, Kennedy Keefer 4, Lindsay Roberts 3, Olivia Vitaz 2, Jayla Medina 2, and Kalli Quillen 2 points. We are back in action Wednesday night at Old Fort High School for our tournament game against Carey. 

The Charger Cafe is excited to present the first of our Student Choice Menus on Friday Feb 21st! First up is our Freshmen Class Choice Menu! You will want to be sure to check out this delicious lunch chosen by our Fantastic Freshmen class!!

All of Mr. Neher's 8th period chemistry students should bring their chromebooks to class today.

Attention Students: Component Repair Technologies is a company that specializes in Aviation Component Repair.  Their staff is coming to Edison on Feb 27 to give a lunch presentation on their company and PAID summer internship options.  IF you are interested in attending, YOU MUST RSVP by FEB 24 SINCE THEY ARE PROVIDING PIZZA TO THE ATTENDEES.  You can stop in and see Mrs. Brown or email her. Based on interest, we may also offer a field trip to the company this Spring.

Attention all seniors, if you have any pictures or videos from elementary, middle or high school that you’d like to be included in the senior video please send them to Lili Grant or Jordan Pruitt. Stop by the library for Lili or Jordan’s number. 

A reminder to all students who are taking CCP classes next school year, please remember to turn in your intent form to Ms. Spademan by April 1st.

The Costume Crew for Honk will meet on Monday morning, Feb. 17, at 9 am until Noon in the cafeteria, joining the entire cast and crews.
