Fun Fact of the day....A sheep, a duck and a rooster were the first passengers in a hot air balloon.You heard that right – in 1783, the first hot air balloon was launched carrying a sheep, duck, and a rooster. The flight lasted for 8 minutes before landing safely with its passengers.
 
Tonight at 6:00 varsity boys basketball will be at home with Huron.
 
The Charger Wrestling Team battled with the best teams in Ohio on Wednesday night at Edison High School.  The Chargers lost 44-15 to #2 ranked Wadsworth in the first round and then defeated Medina Highland 42-15 in round 2.  Going 2-0 on the night were Casey Barnett, Shad Slone, and Logan Lloyd.  Overall there were 37 individual wrestlers ranked in the top 20 in their respective weight class participating in the event.  The Chargers will travel to St. Paris Graham on Saturday to take on #1 ranked Graham in Division II and #1 ranked St. Ed's in Division I.  Wrestling begins at 1:00 PM
 
Attention Public Forum debaters - Mr. Amstutz will meet with you after school today, Thursday, January 7th, in room 602 to go over Crossfire questions and surveillance griefs.  Bring your red and green folders with you. The meeting will last from 3-3:45pm
 
Attention Policy debaters - Mr. Amstutz will meet with you on Friday after school in room 602 from 3-3:40 to go over the new DA and judges/strategies for this weekend's tournament as well as logistics for the State Qualifying tournaments.
 
A reminder to seniors in the class of 2021 - your senior pictures are due to Mrs. Roan by the end of the month. Any questions you can email her or stop in room 101! 
 
All Senior and Potential members of National Honor Society - your service hours are due to Mrs. Facemire by 3 pm on Thursday January 14th.  No late hours will be accepted.  Please see Mrs. Facemire with questions.
 
Chess Club will be meeting in Mr. Newton's room after school today. Players of all skill levels are welcome to join at any time, PLEASE - join us tonight!
 
Speech & Debate Club members, If you are competing in a live event this weekend in the Brecksville tournament, be here by 8:00 AM on Saturday with all your materials and ready to compete. 
 
A reminder to any student who is struggling in math - or may need some extra help with your homework, Math lab is open every day 5th, 6th and 7th period. Bring your lunch with you to room 401 for help! Any questions, please contact Mrs. Facemire. 
 
Attention all track athletes not in a winter sport. Off season conditioning has started. We will be working out every Monday and Thursday in the weight room at 3 pm as well as Wednesday's in the field house. If you have any questions see Coach Shelley.
