Fun Fact of the day...Sea otters hold hands when they sleep so they don’t drift away from each other.This is a method mostly used by a mother and her pup to prevent them from separating. Other than holding hands, they may also wrap themselves in kelp to keep from drifting away!
 
French Club and French Honor Society members - there will be a meeting after school tomorrow January 20 in the cafeteria outside Madame's room.   This will be a short meeting, but your input is needed.  See you there!
 
The Speech & Debate team competed in the Berea-Midpark tournament this weekend. Congratulations to the following students who placed: in Policy Debate, Lilly Kreglow & Addy Puraty took 5th place, August Berckmueller & Aidan Anderson placed 4th, and Otto Berckmueller & Connor Betts took 2nd place. In Congress, Sean Rhodes took 3rd place; Mallory Stiles placed 2nd in Declamation; and in Lincoln Douglas, Ally Gardner took 1st place. Those competing at Laurel this weekend should plan to be at the high school by 8:00AM! 
 
The Lady Chargers varsity basketball team defeated Oak Harbor on Saturday 42 - 33. Leading the way for the chargers was Aliyah Caporini with 17 points, Kalli Quillen had 9 points and Deana Blatnick had 5. They will be at Vermilion tomorrow night! 
 
The Charger Wrestling Team dominated the field at Rossford by bringing home eight individual champions and a team championship.  Winning titles for the Chargers were Max Hermes, Marcus Medina, Kohen Horvath, Casey Barnett, Shad Slone, Logan Lloyd, Jacob Thompson, and Jackson Berardi.  Taking 3rd place was Garrett Scott, Tate Corapi, and Gavyn Klima.  Clint Finnen rounded out the scoring by placing 6th.  Max Hermes won the Most Valuable Wrestler Award for the tournament.  During the day Logan Lloyd and Casey Barnett also reached career win milestones.  Logan picked up his 100th career win and Casey Barnett recorded his 200th career win.  The Chargers will be back in action this Wednesday at Clyde.
