Morning Announcement for Tuesday, November 6

Instead of the trivia question, we will be doing Thanksgiving riddles for the month of November.
Today’s question: What did the baby corn say to mama corn?

The lunch menu for today is Nachos or chef’s choice sandwich or salad bar, seasoned corn, refried beans, fresh veggies with hummus, assorted fruit, and milk.

There will be an Edison Middle School Student Council meeting tomorrow morning for all members. Also, a committee meeting from 3-4.

Are you missing an article of clothing like a hat or coat, or maybe your lunchbox?  If so, you should check and see if it is waiting for you to pick it up from the lost and found cabinet in the cafeteria.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be open from 8-2 today and Friday in the library.  It is the perfect time to go shopping for a new book.  On Thursday the book fair will be open during conferences from 1-7 p.m.

The Running Club has practice today from 3-4.

The 7th grade girls basketball players are to ride bus #3 to the elementary for practice.

Guess what? Book Fair is giving away free posters again. Every student will get one raffle ticket for a chance at winning the poster of their choice. You must put your first and last name on the back of your ticket. There is a tri fold poster board in the library with a picture of each poster and a number attached. You can put your ticket in the numbered box of whichever poster you want a chance at winning.  We will draw the winners after school on Thursday, November 8th, and announce them Friday morning.

Don’t forget to order your Cleveland Indians or Browns coasters from the Edison Middle School Parents’ Club. The deadline is this Friday, November 9.  These make great Christmas gifts.  Orders will be available for pickup the week of Dec 17th. Extra fliers are in the main office.

The answer for today’s joke: Where is pop corn?

We would like to close with this quote from Diana Ross. “I can be a better me than anyone can.”
