Morning Announcements - Thursday, September 20, 2018


This morning at 9:00,  girls tennis will be at Willard for SBC’s. At 1:00, boys golf will be at  Fremont Country Club for SBC’s. At 4:15, girls golf will be at Bellevue.  At 4:30, volleyball will be at Margaretta. At 5:00, JV boys soccer will be at Willard, and at 6:00, JV girls soccer will be at Sandusky.

The Edison Girls Varsity soccer team beat Vermilion with a score of 3 to 2. The Lady Chargers scoring was lead by Senior Captain Hanna Ceja with two goals and Sophie Clark with one goal. These goals came off great assist from Aliyah Caporini and Piper Nickoli. A solid team performance was the key to tonight's win. The Chargers will be back in action on Monday with a away game at Keystone at 6pm.

Attention football fans:  It has been brought to our attention that Toledo Woodward has limited seating on the visitors' side of their stadium.  They are encouraging our fans to bring their own lawn chair to assure they have a seat at the varsity game on Friday, September 21st.

Still need that special dress for homecoming but just don’t have the money for one?  Look no further Cinderella!  See Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Moyer in the library for more information on how you can get some confidential help!  Do it now, homecoming is right around the corner!

Students interested in joining Key Club will need to pay the $10 dues to the office by Friday.  Students interested running for a Key Club officer position should sign up on the form outside of the auditorium

Attention Drama Club, Students going to see Big Fish this Saturday must turn in their [permission forms to the Drama Club box in the office by the end of the day today.

ACT Boot Camp is back!   Information is posted around school if you are interested in participating this year.  Registration forms are available in the library, outside of Mrs. Brown's office and you should have received an email.   Please see Mrs. Brown  if you have any questions.

For anyone interested in joining Spanish Club there will  be a meeting after school in room 303. The cost is 5 dollars to join.

Book club will meet briefly this Friday, September 21st, in Mrs. Wobser's room after school to discuss access to and pacing of our first read, The Hate U Give, by Angie Thomas.  Mrs. Wobser will need a final count on those interested in reading this first selection by Friday afternoon.  If you are unable to attend the meeting, please see/email Mrs. Wobser to let her know if you would like her to order you a copy of the book.  The price for a paperback edition is $12 new and $7.50 used.  Mrs. Moyer has also ordered 4 copies from the Milan library, which we will have access to in the next few weeks.  Hope to see you there!

Youngstown State University will be available to talk with any students during lunch on Friday.  Please stop by and talk with them!
