Morning Announcements - Thursday, April 11, 2019
Happy Birthday to Lilli Schuster and Hanna Dancy!

At 4:00, tennis will be at Oak Harbor. At 5:00, JV blue baseball will be at home with Lorain.

The Lady Charger Softball Team suffered a loss to Margaretta. Lindsey Fortuna, Kira Appeman, Mariah Medina, Jessica Stoll, Hannah Vitaz and Deana Blatnik each collected one hit to lead Edison. The Girls play Willard away today.

The varsity baseball team beat Margaretta 8-7.  Caden Cooper, Caleb Bissell, and Thomas Simon each had 2 hits.  Bissell pitched the last two innings to pick up the win in relief of Simon, who threw 5 strong innings.

The JV Orange team beat Margaretta 20-7.  Remington Bauer and Andrew Neate each had 3 hits and 7 RBI's.  Mike Kasper had 2 hits and 4 RBI's and Hunter Penwell got the win on the mound.

Attention Thespians, it is time to select next year's Drama Council.  You should have received a ballot through your student Email. Voting must be completed by noon Friday. If you  have not received a ballot, please email Mr. Stanforth.

Are you looking for summer work close to home with the possibility of bonuses at the end of the summer? Schlessman Seed Company in Milan is looking for high school students with great work ethics to work for them this summer. A representative from Schlessman Seed will be here on Tuesday April 16th at 7:45 am to meet with interested students and provide basic information about what the summer job will entail and answer any questions.

Attention all juniors and seniors! Prom will be on May 11th this year at the Colonnade from 8-11PM. Tickets will be on sale from April 8 - April 26. Each ticket will be $30 and can be purchased during your lunch or after school. If planning on bringing a guest from a different school, you and your date will need to fill out a form. If you have questions, please see Mr. Newton!

Attention Speech and Debate Team, the awards banquet will be on Monday, April 15th at 6:30 PM. Please plan on attending!

It’s that time to nominate what teacher has impacted your life the most.  The Milan Rotary Club each year sponsors the Golden Apple award to staff in the elementary, middle and high school.  You can nominate a teacher at any level.  Stop by the library and fill out a form as to why you think this teacher deserves the Golden Apple award.  

Attention all EHS students: this is your last chance to buy a 2018 - 2019 yearbook.  Yearbooks are $60 each without customization.  Please ask the yearbook staff or Mr. Murray for an order form.  Please turn your order forms into Mr. Murray ASAP.

Attention Sophomores! The Sophomore class advisers are looking for anyone interested in volunteering their time, to help sell raffle tickets this Saturday, April 13th, at the Edison Invite Track meet. We will be raffling off several high price items including, Kalahari water park passes, sidelines gift cards, Rock and Roll hall of fame tickets, and a gift certificate to Shirt shack. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be going towards next year's prom and benefits for the sophomore class. There is a sign up sheet in Mr. Collins Room, 203. Please consider helping out!

Mallory Perkins showed timely hitting on Wednesday, driving in six on three hits to lead Edison Chargers JV past Margaretta 25-6 on Wednesday. The ladies opened up scoring in the first inning. Vitaz singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run. Edison Chargers JV's offense in the inning came from singles by Halina Krul and Leigh Anne Lambert, a triple by Perkins, a fielder's choice by Danielle Blatnik, and a double by Lindsey Kowalski. Lindsay Roberts was credited with the victory for Edison. Edison Chargers JV collected 18 hits on the day. Vitaz, Kowalski, Perkins, Johnson, Roberts, Chaput, and Krul all had multiple hits for Edison Chargers JV.
