Morning Announcements - Monday, April 15, 2019
Happy Birthday to Andrew Harper & Lindsay Roberts!

At 4:45, tennis will be at home with St. Joseph. At 4:45, JV orange & JV softball are at home with Oak Harbor. Varsity softball & varsity baseball are at Oak Harbor, and at 6:30, speech and debate will have their banquet in the cafeteria.

The boys track team was crowned champions amongst the 13 team Edison Invite on Saturday. Finishing first for the Chargers were: the 4X800 relay of Dan Lambert, Jon Hrivnak, Cole Weilnau and Ty Coon. The 4X100 relay of Romell, Janssen, Daniel and Stoll, Morgan Otto in the 110 hurdles, Dan Lambert in the 1600,  Jon Hrivnak in the 800 and Ty Coon in the 3200.  Way to go guys! The coaches would also like to thank all the parents and team for their help in running the meet!

The girls track team competed at the Edison Invitational on Saturday. The girls team finished 4th overall scoring 72 points. The lone champion on the day was Abby Lesniak in the 3200m run. The girls compete tomorrow at home vs. Oak Harbor.

Edison Chargers JV softball team battled Gibsonburg on Saturday and took home two wins. The ladies started off strong on offense in both games. Kowalski and Johnson both tripled with three RBIs each. The Chargers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error in game two. Come support the ladies today at home against Oak Harbor. 

Over the weekend the Lady Chargers scored 56 runs!! They beat Sandusky 23-0 and double dipped Gibsonburg 15-10 and 18-2.

Are you looking for summer work close to home with the possibility of bonuses at the end of the summer? Schlessman Seed Company in Milan is looking for high school students with great work ethics to work for them this summer. A representative from Schlessman Seed will be here on Tuesday April 16th at 7:45 am to meet with interested students and provide basic information about what the summer job will entail and answer any questions.

Attention all juniors and seniors! Prom will be on May 11th this year at the Colonnade from 8-11PM. Tickets will be on sale from April 8 - April 26. Each ticket will be $30 and can be purchased during your lunch or after school. If planning on bringing a guest from a different school, you and your date will need to fill out a form. If you have questions, please see Mr. Newton!

Attention Speech and Debate Team, the awards banquet will be tonight at 6:30 PM. Please plan on attending! If you still have money or need to sign the card see Lexi before lunch today.

It’s that time to nominate what teacher has impacted your life the most.  The Milan Rotary Club each year sponsors the Golden Apple award to staff in the elementary, middle and high school.  You can nominate a teacher at any level.  Stop by the library and fill out a form as to why you think this teacher deserves the Golden Apple award.  

Attention all EHS students: this is your last chance to buy a 2018 - 2019 yearbook.  Yearbooks are $60 each without customization.  Please ask the yearbook staff or Mr. Murray for an order form.  Please turn your order forms into Mr. Murray ASAP.

Do you want to learn to salsa dance from a professional dancer? Join the Spanish and French Clubs this Thursday on the stage of the auditorium. Everybody is welcome!
