Morning Announcement for Monday, February 11
Today’s Trivia Question: What kind of flowers are traditionally given to symbolise love?

The lunch menu for today is baked rotini with meat sauce and garlic toast or chef’s choice sandwich or salad bar, green beans, fresh veggies, assorted fruit and milk. The cafeteria staff is super excited for a fun filled week! Wednesday is Domino's Day, Thursday is their special Valentine's lunch and Friday is No One Eats Alone Day! Be sure to plan on purchasing school lunch every day this week to join in the fun!

Any 7th or 8th grade boy or girl planning to join the track teams this spring needs to sign up on the sheets outside of Coach Vajda’s room.  Be sure to include your afternoon bus number on the signup sheet.  When you sign up, it is important that you take a practice schedule from the folder next to the signup sheets.  Make sure that you give that schedule to your parent.  If you are planning on to join, but have not had a physical yet this school year, please see Coach Vadja or Mrs. Bishop for the forms.  Lastly if you are interested in pole vault as an event this year, please put a star next to your name when you sign up.

Attention 7th Graders: Your Permission Slip and/or Chaperone Slip for the D.C. trip are to be handed in no later than Friday, February 15.  You may give it to Mrs. Bishop during lunch or to Mrs. Vajda.

Power of the Pen does not have practice today.

The answer for today’s question is that the kind of flowers that are traditionally given to symbolise love are red roses.

We would like to close with this quote from author, Margaret Atwood. “The Eskimos had fifty-two names for snow because it was important to them: there ought to be as many for love.”
