Morning Announcements - Friday, February 8, 2019
Happy Birthday to Joe Stoll and Cade Hixon!

At 4:00 today boys and girls bowling will be at Norwalk. At 4:30, freshman, JV & varsity boys basketball will be at Port Clinton. On Saturday at 1:00, girls JV & varsity basketball will be at home with Willard. At 6:00, JV and varsity boys basketball will be at South Central. On Sunday, the varsity wrestling team will be in Columbus for the State Championship Duals.

The varsity girls basketball team scored a season high 44 points in the first half last night and went on to defeat Vermilion 58 to 19. The team also shot a season high 55 percent from the field and handed out 15 assists. Jessica Stoll paced the attack with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Hannah Vitaz and Lilli Schuster added 10 and 8 points respectively. Molly Houser contributed 6 points and Deana Blatnik, Aliyah Caporini, and Alana Fidler all scored 5 points each. The junior varsity girls improved their record to 14 and 5 overall with a 58 to 20 victory last night over Vermilion. Eleven players reached the scoring column paced by Lindsay Roberts with 10 points. Lilli Schuster tallied 8 markers and Lydia Woodyard added 7 points. Madison Chaput, Emma Houser, and Lindsay Sneider all scored 6 points each. The Lady Charger basketball teams are back in action tomorrow at 1:00 when they host Willard in a key SBC Bay division game. A reminder that ACT Bootcamp begins this Monday.  We still have a couple openings.  If you would like to get some extra study tips or more practice on taking your ACT then this is for you! More information is in the library and you will need to turn your registration form into the office along with your payment.  Questions?  See Mrs. Brown.

Sadies tickets will go on sale Monday and will remain available at lunch through Friday.  Tickets are $5.  All guest dance forms must also be in by next Friday.  See Mrs. Davis with any questions.

Any Speech and Debate members who have money for Lexi should come to the library at this time.

Senior photos for this year's yearbook are due by February 22.  Though a digital photo file is preferred, you can also drop off a wallet sized print photo.  Senior quotes are also due by the 22nd.

All Set, Light and Sound crew for the spring musical - please check the call board for our meeting times for the next 2 weeks.  The next time we will work will be Monday after school until 5:30.  Please see Miss Cull if you can not attend.

The Math Lab is open everyday in room 402 during the lunch periods 5,6, and 7.

Now is the time to begin earning your invitation to the spring Edison Works Lunch BBQ.  On May 22nd students that qualify get to enjoy an hour and a half of fun in the sun along with a BBQ lunch.  To see how you can join the fun see the posters hanging around the building.  We hope to see all of you at lunch on May 22nd!

Speech and Debate members, be sure to sign up for the National Qualifiers tournament this week if you are able to go. If you aren't competing at any future tournaments, please turn in your speech materials or binders. Ms. Baughman will be here after school for practices. 

Time to buy your friend or that special person a flower for Valentine’s Day!  You can purchase a carnation for 41 during lunch modules al this week and Monday.  Flowers will be delivered to homerooms on Valentine's Day.  Thank you for your support! 

Attention Junior girls and boys: Buckeye Boys State and Buckeye Girls State applications are due to Mrs. Brown by 3:00 today!

Great Wolf Lodge in Sandusky is looking for help! This Monday February 11th, from 3- 6pm & Tuesday, February 12th,  from 10 am - 1:00 pm  they will be holding job interviews.  Many of the jobs start at $10.00 an hour.  You can get more information in the library or apply online.
