Morning Announcements - Friday, February 1, 2019
Happy Birthday to Andrew Sneider, Rianna Arwood and William Bruns

At 4:00 today, boys and girls bowling will be at Perkins.  At 5:30, JV & Varsity girls basketball will be at Port Clinton.  On Saturday morning, Speech and Debate will be at Berea Midpark. At 5:00, freshman, JV & varsity boys basketball will be at home with Firelands and
Varsity wrestlers will be at Elmwood High school for the regional D3 Duals.

The varsity girls basketball team improved their record to 13-4 overall by defeating Norwalk 63 to 33. Four Lady Chargers reached double digits in the balanced scoring attack and they were: Aliyah Caporini 15 points; Mariah Medina and Hannah Vitaz 14 points each; and Alana Fidler with 11 points. Vitaz led the assault on the boards with 8 rebounds, while Medina and Caporini produced 7 and 6 steals respectively. The junior varsity girls basketball team improved their record to 12-5 overall with a 28 to 23 victory over Norwalk. Lilli Schuster paced the attack with 10 points, while Lindsay Roberts contributed 5 points. Eliza Brickner and Jayla Media each had 4 steals. The Lady Charger basketball teams are back in action tonight when they travel to Port Clinton for a 5:30 junior varsity tip. Hope to see you courtside.

State Thespian Conference is due today.  Please turn in all forms and payment to the office.  Today's Big Fish rehearsal is for Edward, Will, Sandra, Josephine, Jenny and the lambs from 3-5.  A rehearsal schedule for next week is posted on the call board.  The publicity crew will meet Wednesday at 3:00.

Attention Freshmen - Jostens will be here this coming Tuesday to meet with you at 2:25 regarding class rings.  They will return on Friday, February 8th and Friday, February 15th to take class ring orders.  

Now is the time to begin earning your invitation to the spring Edison Works Lunch BBQ.  On May 22nd students that qualify get to enjoy an hour and a half of fun in the sun along with a BBQ lunch.  To see how you can join the fun see the posters hanging around the building.  We hope to see all of you at lunch on May 22nd!

Senior photos for this year's yearbook are due by February 22.  Though a digital photo file is preferred, you can also drop off a wallet sized print photo.  Senior quotes are also due by the 22nd.

Attention Speech & Debate team: the bus for the State Qualifying tournament leaves at 6:40 tomorrow. Miss Baughman will be here after school today - be sure to sign up for a practice time and for National Qualifiers!

All Senior National Honor Society members - our next meeting will be on Tuesday right after school in Miss Cull's room.  Please bring ideas for our Do RIGHT week. See Miss Cull if you can not make it.

The Math Lab is open everyday in room 402 during the lunch periods 5,6, and 7.

Students wishing to take the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics test need to pay the $5.00 registration fee to Mrs. Wallrabenstein by next Wednesday, Feb. 6.  The test is on Feb. 23.
