We wish good luck to the 8th grade girls basketball as they compete in the semi-finals at McCormick Middle School against Perkins at 5:45 tonight.

Edison Middle School Student Council representatives are in the gym from 7:20-7:50 every morning this week ready to assist you with ordering your carnations for Valentine’s Day!  Students in grades 6-8 may place their order in the gym before school starts.  The colors are red, white or pink and the cost is $1 per flower. You need to know what grade and the person’s name that you are sending the flower to. Your representatives will deliver the carnations to the person that you bought the flower for on Valentine’s Day.

The answer for today’s question is that the Roman goddess Venus was Cupid’s mother.

We would like to close with this quote from actress, Pearl Bailey. “What the world really needs is more love and less paperwork.”
