Morning Announcement for Wednesday, May 29
Today’s Trivia Question: Does the Eiffel Tower really grow in the summer?

The lunch menu for today is pizza choice or chef’s choice sandwich or salad bar, fresh veggies, assorted fruit, and milk.

8th grade students are reminded that they need to have a balanced lunch account before they leave the building on Friday.

Tickets for the 8th grade dance will be sold today and tomorrow during lunch.  Cost of a ticket is only $3. You must show your ticket to get in and no tickets will be sold at the door.  Flips flops are permitted at this dance.
The extra yearbooks are selling fast, only 8 copies left.  For $15 you can get one from Mrs. Bishop. They will be sold on a first come first serve basis.
Congratulations to Marina Moore for making the Firelands Challenge Team at Edison High School.

Any 6th or 7th grade girl planning to tryout for Volleyball next year and did not attend the meeting yesterday morning, should see Mrs. Bishop during lunch for the information.

ATTENTION: All 4th-8th grade boys and girls who are interested in playing basketball, there are only a few days left to sign-up for Pro Shot Shooting Clinic that will be June 5th and 6th. This is a great opportunity to get better and fun this summer! Registrations forms are on-line and can still be turned in up until the day of camp! Please get your forms in ASAP to reserve your spot!!

Summer volleyball youth camp forms for grades 4-7 are due in by this Friday, May 31 or you will have to mail them in to the high school.  The 4th & 5th grade forms were stuffed in your mailboxes. The 6th & 7th grade forms were handed out at the volleyball meeting yesterday.  If you need a form, see Mrs. Bishop or stop in the main office.

The answer for today’s question is that during hot weather the structure can grow more than six inches. This is because the tower is made out of metal and metal expands with heat.

We would like to close with this quote from Langston Hughes: “Like a welcome summer rain, humor may suddenly cleanse and cool the earth, the sir and you.”
