Morning Announcements - Wednesday, May 8, 2019
Happy Birthday to Halee Bock!

At 4:00 today tennis will be at Huron.  At 4:30, Jv softball will be at Columbian. At 4:45, varsity softball will be at home with Columbian. At 5:15 varsity baseball will be at home with Upper Sandusky.

Congratulations to the following girls who placed last night at the conference meet. Abby Lesniak won the girls two mile. She teamed up with Paige Schafer, Emma Houser, and Isabel Chasney to win the 4x800 relay. Also placing on the night was Marissa Lisy and Annabella Klima in the shot along with Avery Wolfe and Lydia Woodyard in the long jump. The remaining finals are this Friday at Gibsonburg High School. Good Luck ladies

The boys track team competed in the SBC meet last night! The 4X800 relay team was crowned SBC champ last night with a personal best time of 8:11. Ty Coon won the 3200 by breaking the school record. His time of 9:40 the old record by 6 seconds.  Great job Ty!  The finals will be run Friday night at Gibsonburg.  Good luck guys.

Congratulations to the Lady Chargers for winning their first Sectional game over New London 20-0. Lindsey Fortuna pitched a one hit shutout. Kayla Mancuso went 3-4 with two triples a double with 5 runs batted in.  Fortuna and Jessica Stoll hit back to back bombs while Kira Appeman and Morgan Scott both chipped in with two hits apiece with Scott having a triple.  Mariah Medina, Eliza Brickner, Mallory Perkins, Autumn Ortiz, Hannah Vitaz and Deana Blatnik all added hits to the list. The Girls take on Tiffin Columbian at home tonight in a non league tune up game before the Sectional Championship Friday. 

The JV Blue team dropped a close 6-5 game with Sandusky.  Logan Lloyd had 3 hits, Noah Smith doubled, and Ethan Gessling singled.

The boys tennis team beat Willard on Tuesday 4-1. Winning at singles were Brody Yost and Nathan Spence. Winning at doubles were the teams of Carter Kramer/Kaleb Yoder and Adam Frederick/Jacob Lombardi. The team is now 14-3 on the season.

Kameron McDonald, Taylor Stallings, Bertha Saucedo and Dakota Sawyer please report to the office.

Immediately following the morning announcements, all members of the Speech & Debate should report to Mr. Murray’s room for a group picture. 

Attention Student Drivers:  The lot behind the new addition is now available for parking.  If all the spots are taken in the main student lot please park behind the building toward the game soccer field.

Attention seniors attending prom! If you are interested in running for prom king or queen, please see Mr. Newton to be on the ballot. Deadline will be Friday May 10!

Book Club will meet at 7:15 this Thursday, May 9th to discuss up through page 125 in Where the Crawdads Sing in Mrs. Wobser's room.  Breakfast treats will be provided:)

Attention Seniors:  The annual Senior Walk will be Friday, May 24.  Please bring your cap and gown as the class will be traveling to the middle school and elementary to visit with your former teachers and to remind the younger students of the ultimate goal of graduating from high school. Seniors will be dismissed 8th and 9th periods to travel by bus to the other buildings.  EHOVE seniors are encouraged to attend as well, plan to meet at the high school at 1:00.

Attention Students: Anyone interested in running for a class office position or student council may pick up an information sheet from the high school office.  Candidates for office must meet the criteria listed on the information sheet.  Student speeches and elections will be held on Thursday, May 16th.

Student athletes are asked to schedule your sports physicals for Tuesday May 21st between 5 - 6:00.  See Mrs. Miller to schedule a time prior to the 21st.  There is a $15 fee to be paid at the time of your physical.  Physical packs can be picked up in the athletic office.  

Attention boys and girls track team members: There will be a pasta dinner with all the fixings for all members of the track team after practice tonight.  Dinner will be served in the cafeteria.  

All Do RIGHT tickets should be turned in today to  Mrs. Wilson!  Please turn them in now!
 
Any girl interested in playing girls soccer next year is invited to a Player/Parent meeting on Thursday May 9th at 7pm in the High School cafeteria

Art Club will meet on Thursday instead of today this week in the Art Room.
