Morning Announcement for Friday, March 15
Today’s Trivia Question: How many pints of blood are used each day in the United States?

The lunch menu for today is shamrock shaped chicken with sauce or fish sandwich or salad bar, fresh veggies, Luck of the Irish frozen fruit cup, St. Patrick’s Day cookie, and milk.

Monday is the last day to place an order for the yearbook.  Just bring back your envelope or order on online.  Mrs. Bishop has extra envelopes if you need one. We need to sell 30 more books to reach our quota.

The Annual Edison Middle School Student Council Penny Wars has officially started for the 6th, 7th & 8th graders and runs through Wednesday March 20.  Each grade has a bottle that they may drop their donations into. Pennies will add to the total, while silver like nickels, dimes, quarters and one dollar coins or bills will subtract from the total. Student council representatives will be in the gym every morning to assist you. The grade that collects the most amount of money will be rewarded to a make you own sundae event.

The answer for today’s question is that about 32,000 pints of blood are used each day in the U.S.

We would like to close with this quote from Adriene Cook. “St. Patrick’s Day is an enchanted time - a day to begin transforming winter’s dreams into summer’s magic.”
