Morning Announcements - Wednesday, September 16, 2020

It’s Charger BLUE Day! 
 
At 4:30, girls varsity soccer will be at home with Oak Harbor.
 
The girls tennis team beat Calvert on Tuesday 5-0. Winning at singles were Jayla Medina, Torri Keyser and Alli Vogus. Winning at doubles were the teams of Emily Moore/Emma Horchler and Lindsey Kowalski/Natalie Costello. The team is now 10-4 on the season. Winning for the JV team at singles was McKenna Shaffoe 6-0.  
 
The boys JV soccer team put in a strong effort last night in a 2-2 tie with Perkins. Both goals scored by Nick Strecker. The boys JV team is back in action on Monday vs Huron.
 
The Girls Golf team defeated Margaretta last night 200 – 213. Ava Grant shot a personal best score of 41 to lead the Chargers. Also scoring for the Chargers were Lauren Neher with a 46, Madison Butler, and Meredith Unger.  The Lady Chargers finish up their Bay division matches at Huron on Thursday. 
 
We are back!  Last night the Board of Education voted to bring high school students back to school every day, all day starting with the 2nd nine weeks.  We will continue with the Hybrid, Plan B model until October 23rd then return to normal.  Stay positive and keep working hard until then!
 
Today is picture day at Edison High School for the Blue Group!  Please listen for announcements during 1st period.  All students in grades 9 - 12 must get their picture taken even if you are not purchasing a picture packet.  Please go to the gymnasium when you are called.  If you are purchasing pictures please take your order form with you and drop it in the collection box located next to each camera when you are photographed.  

 Attention Students:Students are reminded to answer the Homeroom Google Classroom questions every day.  On the days you are here it is a health question that you need to answer by 8:00 am.  On your 3 virtual days it is an attendance question that you need to answer by 2:00 pm. Thank you. 
 
Speech & Debate Club members:  Miss Baughman will have awards from last season for you to pick up after school this week.  Policy Debaters are reminded to sign up for a practice time with Señor on either Tuesday or Wednesday. Debate practice is in Room 602. 
 
All students interested in French Club should plan to meet after school next Wednesday, September 23.  Email Madame Parker at [email protected] if you are interested in joining, or let her know in class, even French Honor Society members.  We have to find a space big enough to socially distance for the meeting.  Merci, and we'll see everyone next Wednesday.

On Monday October 5th, the ASVAB test will be given here at Edison. The ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery used for military entrance and placement.This test can also be used as a career exploration and planning program for students. Note: Participants are not under any obligation to the Military as a result of taking the ASVAB. If you are interested in taking this test, please see Ms Spademan by Friday September 25th.
