February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. During this month we are trying to bring awareness of how widespread this issue is in our daily lives. This can range from verbal, emotional, and even sexual abuse in teen relationships. The goal is to destigmatize this problem and to provide resources for people who are suffering to reach out for the help they need. Nearly one in three teenagers will experience dating violence in their lifetime, a rather startling number that we hope to change. Orange is the color of Teen Dating Violence Awareness month. Orange pins will be available soon to wear in support.
