Morning Announcements - Wednesday, December 5, 2018
Happy Birthday to Molly Houser and Eliza Wolfbrandt!

Today at 4:00, boys and girls bowling will be at Fremont.  At 7:00, varsity wrestling will be at Fremont Ross.

Your Edison varsity bowling teams took on Port Clinton at home.  The boys fell short by 30 pins in the last baker game of the night.  Kevin McCloskey was the high bowler of the night with a 135 and a high 230.  The varsity girls on the other hand beat the Redskins by over 300 pins and hitting so far for the season the highest total in conference 2521 pins.  The high bowler for the girls was Kaylie Harris with a 125 and a 212. 

The boys varsity basketball team lost a tough game to Perkins last night 44 to 31. The boys were led in scoring by Larry Kessler, who had 10 points, and Seth Thompson, who had 8 points. Carson Ehrhardt and Patrick Amburgy added 7 and 6 points. The boys will play again this Friday night at Margaretta.

The Firelands Challenge Academic Team members are dismissed at 9:15 this morning to attend round 4 with Huron and New London.  Good luck to the team!!

Publications has started taking orders for the 2018-2019 yearbook.  Please turn in the form given to you by your homeroom teacher to Mr Murray along with a check for $60 made out to Edison High School.  You can also order an EHS yearbook from jostensyearbooks.com.  

French Club, on Friday December 7th after school we will have our St. Nicholas party in Madame’s room.  For details, watch the board! Money is due for Chez Franzois now. 

There will be a Spanish Honor Society Officers only meeting after school in room 302.

Speech and Debate Members: The bus for Vermilion leaves at 7:25 on Saturday. Miss Baughman will be here for practices after school, so be sure to sign up for a time! 

There will be a Policy Debate meeting after school in the conference room until 3:15 to go over the results of the Perrysburg tournament.  A reminder to bring your ballets to the meeting. 

A reminder to Interact members who signed up to pack military boxes.  It will take place today at 3:15 in the cafeteria.

On Thursday, there will be an Edison History Club meeting at 7:15 and again at 2:50.  Please bring ideas and nominations for officers (self or acknowledging another worthy candidate.)  See Mrs. Davis or Sean Rhodes if you have any questions

Attention Drama Club, a list of crew members for the winter one acts is posted on the call board.  Props and publicity will have a short meeting Friday at 3:00 in the auditorium.

The Edison Writing Center is once again open during all lunch periods today.  If you need help with a writing assignment, bring your lunch and your essay to Room 201 today.

Attention students attending the Margaretta basketball game Friday night.  Margaretta SADD students are doing a canned/non perishable food drive.  We challenge you to bring your canned goods to the game and we will see who has the most Christmas spirit!  We will also give you $2 off your ticket price if you bring 3 items.  This will also include adults.  All food collected will go to Grace’s pantry here in Castalia for families in need. Show your spirit and bring your non perishable foods!!
