Morning Announcements - Monday, December 3, 2018
The Boys JV basketball team won their season opener by defeating New London 42-40.  Luke Bissell lead Edison in scoring with 13 points, Grant Ott scored 9 while Andrew Neate tossed in 8 points and Conrad Kluding contributed with 6 points.  The boys next game is at home against Perkins on Tuesday.

The varsity girls basketball team lost to Margaretta on Saturday. Molly Houser scored 12 points and Aliyah Caporini added 8 points. The junior varsity girls basketball team lost to Margaretta on Saturday. Lindsay Roberts tossed in 8 points, while Danielle Blatnik and Olivia Vitaz scored 4 points each. The freshmen girls basketball team lost to Margaretta on Saturday. Lydia Woodyard scored 11 points. The Lady Chargers return to action Saturday when they host Vermilion at 1:00. The freshmen girls' team will play Brookside on Saturday starting at 11:15. Hope to see you courtside.

The Charger Wrestling Team won the 55th annual Edison Invitational this weekend with a dominating performance over the 10 team field.  The Chargers had six individuals win titles in Alec Homan, Casey Barnett, Ray Adams, Jordan Keegan, Shadrick Slone, and Griffin Soviak.  Jakey Neer finished as runner up.  Garrett Scott and  Cason Holmes were third.  Also placing in the top six were Cole Weilnau, Hunter Conley, Walker Cisco, Gavyn Klima, Jacob Thompson, Jackson Berardi, and Korie McKillips.  The team will be back in action Wednesday night at Fremont Ross

Attention students:  we are administering 1st semester exams prior to Christmas Break this year to eliminate the long layover.  Exams will be given on December 19th & 20th with make-ups on the 21st.  Please see the exam schedule posted in the hallways and classrooms.

Attention Firelands Challenge team members:  The test on the second half of the contest may be taken today during study hall or after school.  We will practice on Tuesday at 2:50.

There will be an Interact and Key club meeting tomorrow morning at 7:30 before school in the auditorium. Please make plans to be there!  It’s time to kick off OHgo!

Reminder to all those interested in track this spring and are not involved in a winter sport.  We will begin our winter conditioning program today after school.  Meet in the weight room by 3:00.  Any questions?  See Coach Shelley!  

Congratulations to the Speech and Debate team for taking 5th place overall at the Perrysburg Tournament on Saturday. Mallory Stiles was 6th in Humor, Miranda Morley was 4th in P.O.I, Michael Roth was 4th in Congressional Debate and Will Duniver was 2nd in IX. In Policy Debate, Connor Betts & August Berkmueller took 6th, Jamie Anderson & Lexi Weyer took 3rd, and Nathan Spence & Lorain Clawson took 2nd. Be sure to sign up for practice times and the Vermilion Tournament!

French Club, Friday December 7th after school we will have our St. Nicholas party in Madame’s room.  For details, watch the board! Money is due for Chez Franzois now.

Attention all football players.. there will be a meeting immediately after school on Tuesday to discuss the off-season program.  The meeting will take place in the auditorium and last about 15 minutes.  If you are interested in playing football next season then your attendance is expected.

There will be a Spanish Honor Society Officers only meeting after school this Wednesday, December 5th in room 302.

On Wednesday there will be a Policy Debate meeting after school in the conference room until 3:15 to go over the results of the Perrysburg tournament.  A reminder to bring your ballets to the meeting.
