Morning Announcements - Wednesday, January 9, 2019
The Firelands Challenge team members are excused at 9:15 this morning to attend round 5 against Perkins and Western Reserve. Good luck to the TEAM!!

The varsity girls basketball team improved their record to 10-3 overall with a 52 to 37 road victory over Oak Harbor. The team used a 20 to 8 third quarter advantage to propel them to the win. Alana Fidler led all scorers with 21 points and 5 rebounds, while Aliyah Caporini chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds. Hannah Vitaz also hauled down 10 rebounds, while Molly Houser added 4 steals and Mariah Medina dished out 4 assists. The junior varsity girls basketball team improved their record to 10-3 overall with a 49 to 29 victory over Oak Harbor. Olivia Vitaz led all scorers with 16 points, while Lilli Schuster contributed 8 points. Emma Houser and Lindsay Roberts both added 6 points each. Lydia Woodyard hauled down a team high 6 rebounds.  The Lady Charger basketball teams are back in action Saturday when they host state ranked Margaretta with a junior varsity start time of 1:00. All students will receive new copies of your schedule on Friday, January 11th in homeroom.

Students are reminded all fees must be paid in full in order to receive your grade card.  

We are selling t-shirts and wristbands to benefit Anne Meredith and her battle with cancer.  T-shirt Order forms are in the athletic office and the library.  Wristbands are $2 and are in the athletic office and will also be sold during the lunch modules.  TLC will be hosting a spaghetti dinner from 4:30-6:30 before the freshmen basketball game vs. Bellevue on Jan 25th.  There will also be a bake sale and a basket raffle during the game that evening.  Please plan to come out and support Mrs. Meredith in any way you can on Friday the 25th.  

Just a reminder to all junior and senior National Honor Society members and potential members - all service hours are due by 2:50 PM on Friday. Please see Miss Cull if you have any questions.

The Edison Middle School and High school  Drama Clubs are  proud to present their  Winter One Acts, Ten Ways to Survive the End of the World and Greek Mythology Olympiaganza  7:30  Friday, January 11th, and Saturday, January 12th,  All seating is general Admission. Tickets will be sold at the door. From ancient history to the end of the world, you won’t want to miss this! Come support the cast and crew! We hope to see you there!

ACT Boot Camp is happening once again!  Registration is limited to the first 30 junior and senior paid applicants.  Complete the registration form no later than February 6, pay with cash or check in the main office! Registration forms can be obtained from the library or from Mrs. Brown! Register now as class fills up fast! Questions?  See Mrs. Brown! 

A reminder that chess club will meet today after school in Mr. Newton’s room.

Book Club will meet after school in Room 203 on Friday, Jan. 11, to discuss up through page 141/Chapter 25 of Dumplin'.  We will enjoy some snacks as well.  Hope you can make it! 

The Edison Writing Lab will be open today during all lunch periods.  If you would like help with your essay, please grab your lunch and come to Room 201.  

Today's tutors are: 5th period are Hannah Vitaz and Miranda Morley, Period 6 is Grace Wilson and Sydney Schuster and 7th period is Isabel Chasney and Hannah Vitaz.

Drama Club members, please sign up on the call board to help with the bake sale this week end. Drama Club members who will be attending the area Thespian Conference this Saturday should be at the school by 7 AM.
