Morning Announcements - Friday, January 11, 2019
Happy Birthday to Holly Racioppi, Megan Coleman, Taylor Stallings, Jake Thompson and Chloe Shepherd!

Today at 4:30, boys basketball will be at Oak Harbor. At 5:00, girls and boys bowling is home with Lexington. Also at 5:00, varsity wrestling will be at Algonac High School Michigan, and at 7:30, Drama will present it’s Winter 1 act plays. On Saturday speech and debate will be at Berea-Midpark. At 9:00, varsity wrestling will again be at Algonac High School, at 9:30, JV wrestling will be at the Lake Invite.  At 1:00, JV & varsity girls basketball will be at home with Margaretta, and at 4:30, freshmen, JV and varsity boys basketball will be at Clyde. At 7:30 tomorrow night, drama will present it’s Winter 1 act plays.

Your Edison bowling teams traveled to Port Clinton last night. Both varsity and jv teams won their matches.  For the boys, Brandon Goodrich was the high bowler of the night with a 200 and a 193.  Cullen Wilbur was the high for JV with a 144 and a 178.  Varsity girls still stay undefeated by winning by 98 pins.  Lily Shover was the girls high bowler with a 239 and a 155. Piper Ball with the high for the JV girls with a 145 and a 132.  Great job bowlers!  The varsity bowlers will bowl a non-conference match against a power house team from southern Ohio.  Come out and support them.  Watch a great match!  Start time is 4:30 

A reminder that today is the last day of the semester and there will be no school on Monday.

We are selling t-shirts and wristbands to benefit Anne Meredith and her battle with cancer.  T-shirt Order forms are in the athletic office and the library.  Wristbands are $2 and are in the athletic office and will also be sold during the lunch modules.  TLC will be hosting a spaghetti dinner from 4:30-6:30 before the freshmen basketball game vs. Bellevue on Jan 25th.  There will also be a bake sale and a basket raffle during the game that evening.  Please plan to come out and support Mrs. Meredith in any way you can on Friday the 25th.  

Just a reminder to all junior and senior National Honor Society members and potential members - all service hours are due by 2:50 PM today. Please see Miss Cull if you have any questions.

The Edison Middle School and high school  Drama Clubs are  proud to present their  Winter One Acts, Ten Ways to Survive the End of the World and Greek Mythology Olympiaganza  tonight at 7:30, and Saturday, January 12th also at 7:30,  All seating is general Admission. Tickets will be sold at the door. From ancient history to the end of the world, you won’t want to miss this! Come support the cast and crew! We hope to see you there!

ACT Boot Camp is happening once again!  Registration is limited to the first 30 junior and senior paid applicants.  Complete the registration form no later than February 6, pay with cash or check in the main office! Registration forms can be obtained from the library or from Mrs. Brown! Register now as class fills up fast! Questions?  See Mrs. Brown! 

Book Club will meet after school in Room 203 to discuss up through page 141/Chapter 25 of Dumplin'.  We will enjoy some snacks as well.  Hope you can make it! 

Drama Club members, please sign up on the call board to help with the bake sale this week end. Drama Club members who will be attending the area Thespian Conference this Saturday should be at the school by 7 AM.

Senior photos for this year's yearbook are due by February 22.  Though a digital photo file is preferred, you can also drop off a wallet sized print photo.  Senior quotes are also due by the 22nd.

There will be an important informational meeting Tuesday after school for all students interested in auditioning or doing crew work for Big Fish, Edison's spring musical.

A reminder that if you are ordering a t shirt for the Anne Meredith fundraiser - orders are due today in the athletic office.  After Monday they need to be ordered online.  A reminder that there is no school on Monday! 

Those students taking the national Spanish exam must pay the $8 fee by Friday January 18 to Profesora.  Any questions see Profa!
