Morning Announcements - Friday, September 20, 2024

Today is Friday, September 20, 2024 

The weather for today is partly cloudy with a high of 85.

The Charger Cafe will serve manager's choice entree or cheese pizza, sweet corn, fresh fruit, and milk for lunch 

There is still time to sign up for Power of the Pen tryouts for 7th and 8th grade students, which will be held from September 24th through September 26th. Sign up sheets for the try outs are posted outside of Mrs. Schoenherr's room for 8th grade and outside Mrs. Hansen's room for 7th grade. Each student trying out must complete two writing samples. See Mrs. Schoenherr with any questions. 

Those student council representatives who are scheduled to assist tonight with the Fun Day are to meet Mrs. Bishop downstairs in the student council room after school.  Bring everything that you are taking home with you.  

The 8th grade football team beat Norwalk 20 – 0. The offensive line lead Granstyn Yamanuchi, Styles Perez, Trenten Williams and Bently Illuzzi to long runs. Talon Wechter, Trenton Williams and Evan Schnittker all scored touchdowns with Ben Rosekelly adding a 2pt reception.  The defense pitched a shutout and were lead by Nicholas Samsa, Colton Story, Bentley Illuzzi and Granstyn. 


The 7th grade Chargers football team defeated the Norwalk Truckers  by a score of 22-6.  Mason Robinson executed the offense that led to multiple scores by Liam Butler behind a great performance by the offensive line. 

The defense was led by Bentley Allison and Landon Pollack. Next week’s game is vs. Bellevue at home.  

On Wednesday, The 8th grade volleyball team played Margaretta at home. The team lost in two sets 25-10 and 25-13.  Cadie Sharp and Faith Maschari lead the team in serving with 6 points each. Lyla Stoll served for four points. Bella Maynard made some great defensive plays.
