The cross country teams battled against the heat and schools much bigger than them at Cloverleaf this weekend. Bringing home medals were Mason Leber who finished 8th out of 115 runners in the boys varsity race and both Addison McDonnell, who finished 13th, and Claire Michaelis, who finished 8th out of 103 runners in the girls varsity race. Both Max Welch and Israyel Bellman, after winning their travel soccer game, came to the meet and earned ribbons by finishing 3rd and 6th in the open race. Running a personal best was Zeke Rutger. The teams travel to Western Reserve next weekend and then have their only home meet of the year on October 5.
