Morning Announcements for Friday, August 30th

Happy Birthday Weston Smith, Ariana Springer, Savanna Garn, Stella Bloom, Alexis Lewis and Caleb Johnson


The girls tennis team lost a close match on Thursday 2-3 to Huron. Two of the matches went into 3 sets but fell short of a victory! Winning for the team at no. 1 singles was Liz Campbell and at no. 2 singles Ivy Kluding. Earning her first “snickers” of the season was Isabella Wilson at no. 1 doubles. Keep up the hard work ladies!! 


The varsity volleyball team beat Margaretta 25-18, 25-16, 25-14. Taylor Wlodarsky served 14 points with 4 aces, 13 assists, and 9 digs. Jorja Byington had 7 kills, followed by Dana Preston with 6 kills, and Aubrey Palmer-Roesch, Ella Booth, and Macari Harris with 3 kills each. Taylor Moore had 14 digs, Stella Brown had 8 digs, Paige McFadden had 6 assists, and Savannah Garn served 2 points.


The JV volleyball team beat the Polar Bears 25-21, 25-12. Abby Cloud served 17 points.


Key Club is a service organization sponsored by the Kiwanis Club International. It is a volunteer organization that helps kids and the elderly both in the US and globally. For students who are interested in joining Key Club, dues are $5 if you sign up before September 17th. You can bring your dues to the High School Office.  


Students: If you have not purchased your parking pass, you need to have this done by Friday, August 30th. Pass checks will begin on Monday, August 26th and you will be served with a reminder if you have not purchased your pass yet.


Reminder to seniors:   Make sure you have your meningitis immunization updated and the documentation turned into the office by September 4th.


If you are interested in esports, pick up a permission slip from Mr. Storts in room 403. The deadline for registering is September 6th.


Hey Edison High School ~ it's almost that time of year! The Homecoming Dance will be held at EHS on Saturday, September 14th from 8 until 11.  Tickets are $15 and will be on sale from Monday, September 9th through the 13th - remember NO TICKETS at the door. See Mrs. Davis or a member of the Student Council with any questions

If you signed up for a shift at the lemon shake-up booth this weekend, please remember to wear a baseball cap and be on time. Mr. Neher has the signup sheet if you need to check when you are working.
