Morning Announcements - Friday, September 3, 2021

Happy Birthday today to Caleb Johnson, Scott Baker Gildenmeister, Rory Conrad, Landon Steffanni, and Chase King!
 
Tonight at 7:00, varsity football is at Western Reserve. Tomorrow morning at 11, JV football is at Huron. Also on Saturday night, the Charger marching band will be performing a short concert at the Milan Melon Festival at 5:00.
 
A reminder that there is no school on Monday September 6 and Tuesday September 7th! 
 
The girls tennis team beat Huron on Thursday 4-1.  Winning at singles were Alli Vogus, Torri Keyser and Emily Moore. Winning at doubles was the team of McKenna Shaffoe and Ally Gardner.

Last night we had a sole winner for the JV tennis team versus Huron. Delaney Lococo got the win at singles! Congrats!
 
The varsity volleyball team lost to Oak Harbor 26-28, 25-21, 25-18, 25-27, 11-15.  Olivia Vitaz led the team with 47 assists, 12 digs, 11 points, and 10 kills.  Kira Appeman slammed 18 kills and had 22 digs.  Skylie Hixon led the defense with 24 digs.  Lindsay Roberts had 13 kills and 12 digs, Lydia Woodyard had 10 kills and 13 digs, Karin Wlodarsky had 6 kills, Olivia Wilson had 4 kills, and Kalli Quillen had 11 assists. 
 
The JV volleyball team lost to Oak Harbor 21-25, 19-25.  Ella Habeck led the team with 4 points.
 
It's that time Charger Nation ~ Homecoming 2021 will be held on Saturday, September 18th!! If you plan to bring a guest to homecoming who is not from Edison, please see Mrs Davis to pick up a dance form.  This form must be filled out and returned ASAP.  Stop in to 204 if you have any questions. Tickets will be on sale the week of September 13th!
 
Attention all seniors - It’s powderpuff football time, a google form has been sent to your email - please take the time to check and fill it out. Even if you don’t want to play - you may still want a shirt.  Shirts are $16 and must be paid for by Tuesday September 7. You can venmo Ella or drop the money off in the office. There will be no exceptions - Tuesday is the deadline.
 
Speech & Debate Club members, if you are interested in running for an officer position, you must submit your self-nomination today! Policy Debaters, mark your calendars: there will be a policy debate meeting on Wednesday the 8th after school in the collaboration center. Come prepared! 
 
A reminder to ALL workers this weekend at Melon Festival - you must wear a hat! 
 
There will be NO presale tickets available for the varsity football game tonight at Western Reserve. All tickets at the gate will be $6

Save the date - Sunday September 12, TLC will be holding the Color Run! It’s free and a great way to kick off homecoming week.  Bring your own white shirt to wear, bring your friends and family too! You will have a great time! 
 
There is a new suggestion box located outside of the library. If any student or staff member has a suggestion please write it out and put it in the box.  All suggestions will be considered.
