Happy Birthday today to Brienna Marcy!

Today at 4:15, girls tennis is at St. Joe’s. At 4:30, freshman, JV & varsity volleyball are at home with Huron, also at 4:30, boys golf is at Willard. At 5:00, Jv boys soccer is at home with Ashland.
 
The girls tennis team lost to Norwalk on Wednesday 2-3. Winning for the team at singles were Alli Vogus at no. 1 and Torri Keyser at no. 2. The team is now 6-4. 
 
The boys varsity soccer team turned in a 1-0 win last night at Port Clinton. Xander Danner with the goal. The boys look to refocus for a busy week next week with 3 games in six days!
 
The Edison Girls Soccer team lost to undefeated Port Clinton by a score of 5 to 1. The one bright spot in the match was freshmen Rachel Frederick getting her first Varsity goal. The Lady Chargers will be back in action next Wednesday with a home match against Oak Harbor. 
 
On Friday after homeroom freshmen and sophomores should report to the auditorium for Drama Club's production of With Their Eyes. The short play tells the story of the reactions of students attending a New York City high school on 9/11/2001 when terrorists attacked the World Trade Center Towers.
 
ALL STUDENTS ~ If you are interested please vote for your classes Homecoming attendant no later than 2:00.
 
Policy debaters will meet with Mr. Amstutz today from 3-4:15 to go over negative strategies, Disadvantages and the remaining Topicality arguments.  We will also sign up for October online tournaments.
 
It's that time Charger Nation ~ Homecoming 2021 will be held on Saturday September 18th!! If you plan to bring a guest to homecoming who is not from Edison, please see Mrs Davis to pick up a dance form.  This form must be filled out and returned ASAP.  Stop in to 204 if you have any questions. Tickets will be on sale the week of September 14th!
 
There will be a song request list located in the library today if there is anything you would like to hear that evening.  Obviously songs will be screened several times, please select high school appropriate music
  
Any girl interested in playing powder puff football should report to the auditorium immediately for a quick question and answer session. Their coaching staff is also welcome to attend.
 
The athletic office is selling pre-sale tickets for the varsity football game at home this week vs. Norwalk.  All pre-sale tickets are $5 while all tickets at the gate are $7.  Go Chargers!!
 
This Saturday at 7:30 the Edison Drama Club will present With Their Eyes, a short play in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the September attack on the World Trade Center.  Seating is general admission and a donation will be collected at the door.
 
Picture Day at EHS is next week, Wednesday September 15th, starting at 8 am.  All students in grades 9 - 12 must get their picture taken. Parents and students received an email last week with online ordering information.  Picture order forms are being passed out in homeroom this morning.  If you have any questions, please stop in the office.
 
Need help with a writing assignment?  Contact Mr. Ceccoli in Room 201 to set up an appointment with one of Edison's writing tutors.  Our tutors are happy to assist you with your writing needs.  Please take advantage of this opportunity to improve your writing.
