Morning Announcements - Tuesday, October 12, 2021

Happy Birthday today to Collin Robles!
 
Tonight at 6:00, Jv & varsity volleyball will be at Port Clinton.

The Boys Soccer team defeated Clyde last night by a score of 10-0! Goals were scored by: Xander Danner with 6 (ties the school record for goals in a game) Jonah Main, Collin Smith and Garret McQuillen with 2. Nice win guys!
 
In an away match the Edison Girls Soccer team finished in a 1 to 1 tie with the Clyde Fliers. The lone goal for the Lady Chargers was scored by Abigail Hearing. The Lady Chargers are back in action on Wednesday with a home match against Lorain at 5pm.
 
The varsity volleyball team lost to Bellevue 25-23, 12-25, 10-25, 21-25.  Olivia Vitaz had 28 assists and 6 points.  Kira Appeman had 16 kills and 21 digs, Lydia Woodyard had 10 kills, Lindsay Roberts had 6 kills, Skylie Hixon had 15 digs, and Karin Wlodarsky had 8 digs. The JV volleyball team lost to Bellevue 10-25, 17-25.  Ivy Kluding led the team with 5 points.
 
Anyone interested in participating in bowling this winter - The first day of Practice is Friday, November 5th from 3:30-5:30 at River View Lanes.
 
The athletic office is selling pre-sale tickets for the varsity football game at Vermilion on Friday.  All pre-sale tickets are $5, while all tickets at the gate are $7.
 
If you are actively involved in Boy Scouting - an Eagle Scout or involved in Girl Scouts - a Gold Star, would you please see Mrs. Davis at this time. 
 
Speech & Debate Club members - Miss Baughman will be here after school on Wednesday to work with any students interested in competing in Speech events this season. The sign up sheet is on the bulletin board by the office. 
 
Attention any boys in grades 9-12 interested in playing basketball this winter. There is a sign-up sheet in the Athletic Office - please make your way down there and sign up. Contact Coach Hammond with any questions.
 
Interact will meet Wednesday October 13th at 7:00 pm in the Innovation room. Please make plans to attend if you’re a member or if you’d still like to join, stop by the library and see Mrs. Moyer.
 
Are you still looking for a fun place to work? Raising Cane's will be here on Wednesday, October 13th over the lunch periods. Stop by their table, say Hi and check out the current positions they are hiring for!
 
Juniors!!  Don't forget to sign into Naviance and complete the Intro to Naviance Scavenger Hunt. If you need help logging in, please see Mrs. Wilson or Mrs. Kovach.
 
As a reminder to all students, don't forget to check your email for important announcements and information that might be important to YOU!
 
There will be a short meeting with Coach Hermes after school on Thursday at 3:00 in the Innovation Center for all students interested in wrestling this season.  Important information regarding the upcoming season will be provided so please make sure you are in attendance if you plan to wrestle this season.
