Morning Announcements - Tuesday, November 15, 2022

Attention all students who plan to compete this weekend at the Mentor High School Speech and Debate tournament.  There is a brief but important meeting for you after school on Tuesday in the Innovation Room.  Make sure you attend!

Be sure to plan on purchasing lunch from the Charger Cafe on Thursday! They will be serving a true Thanksgiving feast complete with pumpkin pie!

Attention students and staff! Please remember to pick up your Why I Speak Up Bubble in order to support Nadia Cantelli and the Ohio Student Safety Council. You can pick up these bubbles in your study hall and in the library and return them to Mrs. Cooper and Mrs. Tinnel. They will be displayed in the hallway outside of Mrs. Davis’s room and submitted to the Council’s social media to show how great Edison’s students are! If you have any questions, please contact Nadia Cantelli.

Reminder for all InterAct members! If you have not picked up your InterAct Pizza Palooza tickets or paid for your InterAct shirt, please do so tomorrow. Mrs. Roan and Kelly Wilson will be in the library in the morning to collect money, hand out tickets, and hand out shirts. Please make way to see one of them if you need to complete one of these tasks and cannot do so before school!

Good luck to the Firelands Challenge team as they compete in the 4th round of the competition against Lakota and Port Clinton today!

Attention all EHS students!
Are you interested in silly stringing a teacher?  Eating pumpkin pie as fast as you can?  Playing fun holiday-themed games? Or participating in a dodgeball tournament?
If so, Dodging Hunger is for you!  Dodging Hunger is a donation drive for our local Salvation Army. You can bring in cans, boxes, or containers of food or other household items to help people in our community this holiday season.

All students must bring in an item to get a ticket to attend the assembly next Tuesday!
If you would like to silly string a teacher, bring in items to be entered in a drawing for a teacher of your choice - the more items you donate the more tickets you earn, and the more likely you will get chosen to silly string a teacher.   You can sign up for the various minigames with Mrs. Seel by bringing a donated item to the library before school or in room 607 throughout the day and after school.  The games include bobble-head musical chairs, a pie-eating contest, turkey baster keepy-uppy, and turkey t-ball.
For the annual Dodgeball Tournament:  There will be 8 dodgeball teams of 6 people and each team member MUST bring in FIVE cans to participate (30 cans per team).  If you don’t have a team, don’t worry, there will be one open team filled with 6 individual players. The winning team will get to go head-to-head against the staff's fierce team.
All sign-ups will be on a first-come, first-served basis - SO BRING YOUR DONATIONS IN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.  Donations and sign-ups will start Wednesday morning and go until Tuesday morning of next week - but remember sign ups are first come first serve.  Bring your items to the library before school or to Mrs. Seel's room (607) throughout the school day or after school.
