Now that the Edison Elementary Reopening Plan has been released and the Board of Education has decided how we will come back to school, I have some important Kindergarten information to release.  Please note that I have been holding off on releasing this information because of all the uncertainty that surrounded our return to school.  As always, things may still change due to Governor's orders or Ohio Department of Health mandates but we will move forward with what we know today and make adjustments if needed.  I wanted to share this information today so you can begin to plan for the upcoming weeks.  If you have a student that has committed to the Edison Digital Academy for the 2020-21 school year this information does not pertain to you.  A district representative will be in contact with all Edison Digital Academy families in the near future to get you registered for classes.  As always, if you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact me.  Thank you again for your patience as we work through these unprecedented times together.  Here are the important dates to consider:

1.  August 31 - September 2 we will have individual student appointments to cover screening items, KRA assessments, and give the students a chance to meet their teacher.  During this time only the students will be permitted in the rooms with the teachers and they must wear a mask.  Parents will have a location to wait for their child and will also meet with our school nurse to review medical documentation. Each appointment will last roughly 60-90 minutes.  Details regarding how to sign up for an appointment will be coming in the near future.  

2. September 3-4 we will have "Staggered Start" for our kindergarten students meaning that 1/2 the students will come on 9/3 and the other half will come on 9/4.  This will give the staff time to work with smaller groups and review building procedures and policies in more detail.  Each child will be assigned to one of these dates and that will be released in the near future once rosters are finalized.

3. September 8-11 ALL Kindergarten students will attend that have elected to come back to school for in-person learning.
