Morning Announcements - Wednesday, May 26, 2021

At 5:00 tonight, varsity softball will be at Elida for the Regional Semi-finals with Cardington Lincoln.  Tickets for the game must be purchased online.
 
Attention students: TODAY is the very last day you will be able to purchase a 20-21 Edison Yearbook. For more information - See Mrs. Roan.
 
Congratulations to Mr. Collins being name this years recipient of the Golden Apple award from the Rotary club.  Mr. Collins was humbled beyond words at the kindness our students have shown him.  Also congratulations to middle school recipient Mrs. Carrier Vajda and elementary recipient Mrs. Schlessman.
 
Congratulations to Jamie Teed for being elected as the secretary for the class of 2022.  The upcoming senior class officers are:

Vice-President - Brenna Chasney

French Club members attending Chez Francois tonight should be at the restaurant right before 5!
 
Attention Seniors:  Senior walk is on for this Friday.  If you want to participate, meet in the auditorium after 7th period.  You will be wearing your cap and gown so please have them in your vehicle or locker.  Check your school email for more information.
 
Attention all students attending EHOVE next school year, you will need to return your chromebooks to the library before the end of the day on Thursday June 3rd.  Please have your name on them along with the charger.
 
Any Freshman, Sophomore or Junior who is interested in trying out for the academic challenge team for next school year, a friendly reminder that you must take the try-out test today (Wednesday May 26) afterschool.  Please see Mrs. Facemire or Mrs. Roan if you have any questions or need more information.
 
Reminder that today after school there will be a meeting in Coach Meredith's classroom for Girls tennis in the fall. If you can’t make it stop by and let Coach Meredith or Coach Newton know
 
Edison Varsity Softball team run rules the Huron Tigers 10-0 (the number 1 seed) to win the District Championship!!! Kira Appeman led the Chargers to victory on the rubber. The right hander lasted five innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. This is her second shutout in the District tournament! The Edison Ladies had ten hits in the game.  Olivia Vitaz and Kira Appeman each collected multiple hits. Vitaz went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the team in hits. Others having hits were Kayla Mancuso, Kalli Quillen, Reagan King and  Audrey Linder.  Our girls smacked three home runs on the day. Olivia Vitaz hit two dingers. One in the second and the other in the fifth inning. Mallory Perkins also went yard in the fourth inning. The Lady Chargers move on to Regionals and face #1 state ranked Cardington Lincoln tonight at 5. Go Chargers.
