Morning Announcements for Tuesday, May 11th

There will be an informational meeting today at 2:30 for any 8th grade students interested in auditioning for “With Their Eyes”, a play about the 911 attack on the World Trade Center which will be performed in early September.  All interested students are welcome, no experience is necessary.

Today The Charger Cafe will serve Bosco sticks with marinara sauce or Daily Grab & Go, cauliflower with cheese, fruit, and milk for lunch.

Today’s trivia question is: Which classical composer was deaf?

The weather for today is cloudy and cool with a high of 51.

Those 8th graders who forgot to hand in their Washington, D.C. slips to Mrs. Vajda have until Wednesday, May 12 to do so.

Choir Members: Our movie night will be this Thursday, May 13th from 3-4:30. Please turn in forms to Mrs. Rosekelly.

5th grade drum auditions will be today, May 11th during specials.  If you are interested in playing drums next year in 6th grade, please see Mrs. Rosekelly for more information.

Due to testing this morning please be considerate and keep your voices down going through the hallways.

The answer for today’s question is that the classical composer who was deaf was Ludwig van Beethoven.

We would like to close with this quote from classical composer Ludwig van Beethoven “Music should strike fire from the heart of man, and bring tears from the eyes of woman.”
