Morning Announcements - Tuesday, March 30, 2021

Happy Birthday to Lydia Woodyard & Kinsley Rahrig!
 
At 4:15, boys tennis will at home with Bellevue. At 4:30, boys & girls track are at home with Vermilion. At 4:45, JV baseball & JV softball are at Seneca East. Also at 4:45, Varsity baseball and varsity softball will be at home with Seneca East. At 6:30, speech & debate will have their banquet in the auditorium. 
 
The boys tennis team opened the season with a win over Vermilion 5-0. Winning at singles were Lincoln Meredith, Nate Spence and Noah Proctor. Winning at doubles were the teams of Noah Pulaski/Collin Smith and Otto Berckmueller/Marcus Medina. The team is home today against Bellevue. 
 
The JV tennis team swept their competition at Vermilion yesterday with wins from Parker Campbell at singles and the doubles team of August Berckmueller and Andrew Kibler.
 
The lady JV softball team battled Ashland Crestview on 3/29 with a final score of 7 to 11. The ladies started off strong with Guerra leading the team with a home run and a single. Wilson assisted the team from the outfield, making two great catches. The ladies look forward to playing at Seneca East tomorrow. 
  
The Lady Charger Softball Team disposed of New London 14-0 in 5 innings. Kira Appeman gets the win with 12 strikeouts, 0 walks and only giving up one hit. The Chargers had plenty of offense with Mallory Perkins taking one deep over the center field fence. Kira Appeman helped her own cause by swatting 2 triples. Mancuso, King and Quillen each chipped in a double. The Blatnik girls combined for 5 hits with Danielle slapping 3 of them. The Ladies take on Seneca East tonight at 4:45 on our home field. 
 
The varsity baseball team opened the season with a 6-1 victory against New London.  Thomas Simon picked up the win, pitching 5 innings allowing only 2 hits while striking out 12.  Keegan Smith pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief.  Clint Finned and Noah Smith each hit doubles and Bryce Michaelis had 2 RBI's.
 
There will be a meeting Wednesday after school for athletes interested in playing football next season.  The meeting will be held in the auditorium and only last 10-15 minutes.
 
French Club students are invited to stay Wednesday after school to make stickers for "Poisson d'avril" in room 503.  Honor Society members, please check the wall to see if you have all of your participation points!  See you there!
 
Make way for Edison Show Choir's Aladdin! Ticketing will be opening up Wednesday, March 31 at 12:00 pm on Eventbrite.com. Tickets are FREE and are limited to 88 per night. You can find the ticket link on show choir's Facebook and Instagram or you can just type in Edison Show Choir's Aladdin on the Eventbrite website. Showtimes are Thursday April 29 @ 7:00, Saturday May 1 @ 7:00, and Sunday May 2 @ 2:00 and 7:00.
 
The painting crew for Aladdin needs a few more people to help work on a mural on the back wall of the stage. The crew will work mainly Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school until 5. If you're interested in helping out, talk to or email Anna James at [email protected]
 
Thank you to all the Interact members who brought in laundry soap.  If you forgot - please bring it to the library this week!  It’s very appreciated.
