December - Nathan Spence

     The Berlin Heights Kiwanis are pleased to announce Nathan Spence is the December Student of the Month at Edison High School.
     Nathan has been chosen for his contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities.  Nathan’s school activities:  Student Council Co-President; French Club President; French Honor Society; 3-time honorable mention for the National French Contest and earned Ohio State Seal of Biliteracy in French; Speech & Debate (state qualifier in Policy Debate); National Honor Society; Firelands Challenge; Mock Trial; Interact Club; Lead 2 Hope; Math Club; math and writing lab peer tutor; varsity soccer (2-time letter winner and Most Improved award recipient); varsity tennis (2-time letter winner, Most Improved award recipient and SBC Honorable Mention); Student Athlete Leadership Team; EHS morning announcement crew; and attends St. Anthony’s Church of Milan where he is an altar server.
    Nathan plans to attend college in the fall double majoring in International Relations and Political Science with plans to become a Foreign Service Officer specializing in Francophone countries.  Nathan is the son of Tom and Kasie Spence of Sandusky, Ohio.
