The Berlin Heights Kiwanis are pleased to announce Anna James is the February Student of the Month at Edison High School.

     Anna has been chosen for her contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities.  Anna’s school activities:  National Honor Society Secretary; National French Honor Society; National Thespian Society; Student Government Social Chairperson; Interact Club Co-President; Drama Club (received Outstanding Performance and Most Creative Contribution awards for acting and choreography in Honk!; Drama Council; Edison Sound Dimension Show Choir student director; Ohio Attorney General’s Teen Ambassador Board member.  Anna has been a dancer for 15 years at Class Act Dance Studio and now Count Me In Dance Studio.  Her most important work includes organizing a school-wide educational assembly about human trafficking with notable speakers from the Attorney General’s office.  As well as raising awareness in school about teen dating violence during February and organizing a donation drive for Safe Harbour and SANE for victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence and human trafficking.  

     Anna plans to attend Liberty University majoring in Law and Policy Pre-Law.  She also wants to continue her advocacy pertaining to issues such as human trafficking.  Anna is the daughter of Jeffrey and Latonya of Milan, Ohio.
