Good Morning Edison Middle School Students and Staff! Today is Monday, March 17, 2025 and it's St. Patrick's Day!

Today’s weather is breezy this morning with sunshine this afternoon and a high of 40.

The Charger Cafe will serve sausage gravy, biscuit and cheese omelet or Daily Grab & Go, hash brown pattie, celery sticks with peanut butter, Luck O the Ice frozen fruit and milk for lunch today.

Today’s Trivia question is: What is a culinary tradition of St. Patrick's Day? In other words what is something that is traditionally eaten on that day.

The Blood Drive is from 3-7 p, tomorrow in the gym. Donors can still make their appointments by going on online at RedCrossBlood.org For every donor that you recruit you get a chance to win a $10 giftcard. There will a winner from each grade. Remember that giving blood is a real life saver.

Don't forget that auditions for the Talent Show are today.

Penny Wars!
The Student Council Annual Penny Wars officially starts on Wednesday March 19 and runs through Wednesday, March 26. This is a competition between the 6th, 7th, & 8th grade students. Each morning up on the stage you make drop your coins. You should put the pennies in your own grade's bottle, while putting the silver coins into the other grades. Remember silver coins subtract and pennies add to the grade bottles. The grade that ends up with the largest amount at the end will be rewarded to a make your sundae event.

Attention 8th grade boys interested in playing high school basketball: On Wednesday, March 19 there will be a meeting with Coach Campana in the Health room at 7:35 am. You will receive information regarding the spring and summer.

The trivia answer is that the eating corned beef and cabbage is a culinary tradition on St. Patrick's Day.
