Golden Apple Award
The Rotary Golden Apple Award, signifying teaching excellence, will be awarded to an outstanding teacher in the elementary, middle and high school. The Club hopes the Golden Apple Award will enhance the public’s respect for teachers and help attract new, dedicated people to the teaching profession. You are invited to nominate an Edison School District teacher who made a dramatic difference in a student’s life. The Rotary Club will accept nominations of outstanding teachers until.
Who is Eligible?
Nominees must:
- currently teach Preschool-12th grade full-time
- have a minimum of three (3) years in the current school system
- have spent a majority of their time in the classroom
No self-nominations will be allowed, and teachers may not receive the Golden Apple Award more than once.
How Finalists Are Selected
The nominees will be recommended to the Rotary Golden Apple Award Selection Committee. The Selection Committee will then select the three finalists; one teacher each from the Edison Elementary School, Edison Middle School and Edison High School.
