Morning Announcements - Tuesday, August 31, 2021
Happy Birthday today to Savannah Garn & Sommer McKinney!
 
Today at 3:30, boys golf is at home with Oak Harbor. At 4:15, girls tennis is at Port Clinton.
And at 6:00, JV boys soccer is at Willard.
 
The Edison Lady Chargers golf team lost to Hopewell-Loudon Monday  187 - 196. Scoring for the Chargers: Ava Grant 43, Madison Butler 49, Meredith Unger 49, Mallory Meister 55, Jamie Teed 59 and Elena McCord 67. The Chargers are back in action Wednesday against Sandusky St. Mary's.
 
The boys varsity soccer team tied Huron last night 1-1 in an exciting match! Down 1-0 with 32 seconds left Jacob Robinson scored an amazing header off of an assist from Walker Cisco. The boys are back in action on Wednesday as they welcome Willard for a 6PM kick off!
 
The Edison girls soccer team lost their first game of the season in a hard fought battle with Huron by a score of 4 to 2. The Lady Chargers two scores came from Junior Morgan Moon and Senior Ruby Knowles. The Lady Chargers will look to get back to their winning ways on Wednesday when they host Vermilion at home at 4:30pm. 
 
The girls tennis team beat St. Mary’s on Monday 5-0. Winning at singles were Alli Vogus,Torri Keyser and Emily Moore. Winning at doubles were the teams of Rianna Dingle/Tessa Otto and McKenna Shaffoe/Ally Gardner. The team is now 4-2. 

The JV tennis team had an up and down match last night versus Saint Mary's, but the doubles team of Brynleigh Dail and Delaney Lococo won two matches and only dropped 1 game! Great job!
 
The varsity volleyball team lost to Mohawk over the weekend 23-25, 15-25, 22-25.  Lindsay Roberts had 5 kills and 3 aces, Kira Appeman had 9 kills and 14 digs, and Olivia Vitaz had 17 assists. The JV volleyball team lost to Mohawk 16-25, 25-15, 11-25.  Ella Habeck led the team in points.
 
There will be NO presale tickets available for the varsity football game at Western Reserve this week.  All tickets at the gate will be $6
 
Save the date - Sunday September 12, TLC will be holding the Color Run! It’s free and a great way to kick off homecoming week.  Bring your own white shirt to wear, bring your friends and family too! You will have a great time! 
 
The Speech and Debate Club will be meeting after school today in the collaboration room. Please make plans to attend! 
 
There is a new suggestion box located outside of the library. If any student or staff member has a suggestion please write it out and put it in the box.  All suggestions will be considered.
 
Senior meetings begin this week with Mrs. Kovach (her office is still located in the office) Please on time - maybe even a minute or 2 early! If you can’t remember your meeting time, the signup sheets are located outside of her office 
 
Attention athletes - if you earned your varsity letter in the past you are eligible to purchase a varsity E pass for $25.  This gets you into every event all year long.  Stop into the athletic office to get yours this week!!
