Morning Announcements - Friday, September 24, 2021
 
Happy Birthday today to Brady Barker, Ricky Miller, Connor Betts, Miraya Schlessman and Evan Perry!

Tonight at 7:30, varsity football will be at Port Clinton. On Saturday morning, cross country will be at the Cloverleaf Invite. At 9:00, girls SBC tennis will take place; and at 10:00, JV football will be home with Port Clinton.
 
The varsity volleyball team beat Port Clinton 25-13, 25-9, 25-16.  Olivia Vitaz had 23 assists and 12 points, Lydia Woodyard had 8 kills, 7 digs, and 10 points, Lindsay Roberts 6 kills, 7 digs, and 8 points, and Kira Appeman had 8 kills, 5 digs and 10 points. Karin Wlodarsky and Olivia Wilson each had 4 kills, Kalli Quillen dished out 4 assists and had 3 digs, and Skylie Hixon had 5 digs.
 
The JV volleyball team beat Port Clinton 25-13, 25-17.  Natalie Leimeister led the team with 15 points.
 
The library will be closed today.
 
Any student that is interested in joining Key Club, there is an informational sheet outside the office.  Key Club dues must be paid in the office by Tuesday, September 28.
 
Edison staff is sponsoring the Edison Do RIGHT Breakfast this semester.  If you want to be invited to this delicious breakfast make sure you meet the following criteria: 2.5+ GPA, 2 or fewer absences, 2 or fewer tardies, 2 or fewer detentions and no class removals, Friday Schools or suspensions.  We hope to see all of you there.
 
The athletic office is selling pre-sale tickets for the varsity football game at Port Clinton on Friday night.  All pre-sale tickets are $5 while all tickets at the gate will be $7.
 
A reminder to those Spanish Club members, your membership dues of $5 is due today.
 
If you are interested in wrestling this season please sign up in the athletic office by no later than Thursday, October 7th.  Coach Hermes will set up a meeting in mid-October to meet with the individuals who are interested and discuss the upcoming season. The first official practice will be Friday, November 12
 
On a beautiful senior night at Thunderbird South, Jamie Teed led the Lady Chargers to a one stroke victory over Willard. The golf team finished 8-6 in SBC play and will continue their season on Tuesday in Sectional Play at Valley View in Galion.
