Morning Announcements for Friday, September 10th

Today The Charger Cafe will serve pizza choice or Daily Grab & Go, romaine side salad with tomatoes, fresh fruit and milk for lunch.

The weather for today is most sunny and pleasant with a high

of 73.

The trivia question for today is:  How long does it take for light to travel from the sun to Earth?

There is still time to run for Student Council, just see Mrs. Bishop to get an informational packet.   The letters of recommendation and consent form are to be handed in on September 14.

The cheerleaders are sponsoring a Spirit Week starting on Tuesday, Sept. 14.  It will be Hawaiian Day on Tuesday.  Let’s wear our Hawaiian or flowered shirts, flowers in our hair, leis around our necks, grass skirts, but no flip flops.  Check out the signs posted around the building to see what the other spirit days will be.

Don’t forget to buy your tickets for the EHS home varsity football against Norwalk today from Mrs. Bishop for only $5 during lunch.

School Picture Day is next Friday, September 17.  Remember to take your picture envelope home and share it with your parents.   They may buy your pictures online or bring the completed envelope  to school on picture day.  All staff members and students will get their picture taken for the yearbook.

The answer for today’s trivia question is that it takes eight minutes and 19 seconds for light to travel from the sun to Earth.

We would like to close with this quote from  author Anthony J. D’Angelo “Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine.”
