Morning Announcements - Tuesday, January 4, 2022
Happy Birthday to Evelyn Gall!
 
At 4:00 today, bowling is at St. Joe Central Catholic. At 6:00, Jv & varsity boys basketball is at St. Paul’s.

Good luck to the Firelands Challenge team today.  They will compete in round 5 against Norwalk and St. Paul.  The team finished round 4 before break.  After appeals, Edison scored 57 points followed by St. Mary's with 27 and Western Reserve with 19.  Edison is currently leading the competition in 1st place overall with 238 cumulative points followed by Perkins with 173 and Bellevue with 157.
 
Chess Club will meet this Wednesday in Mr. Newton’s room. All levels of play are welcome to attend! Any questions see Mr. Newton in room 405! 
 
Speech & Debate Club - Miss Baughman will be here Wednesday after school to work with students. Remember to sign up for this weekend's Chardon tournament today! 
 
Attention Senior National Honor Society members - our monthly meeting is today after school in the innovation center. Please see Mrs. Facemire if you can not attend.
 
Attention all members and potential members of National Honor Society - please remember that your service hours are due at 3 pm on Thursday January 13th. Please turn all forms into Mrs. Facemire ASAP and see her with any questions.
 
Attention any student who would like to compete in Public Forum debate with the Speech and Debate team in the month of January:  It's not too late to still join the debate club and compete this season.  Mr. Amstutz will meet with any interested debater who wants to debate the January topic about legalizing drugs after school today in the library.  Cases, evidence binders and strategies will be distributed.  Current debaters who want to debate the January topic should also attend!
 
Tickets for the Snow Ball dance will go on sale Monday January 10th, for $10 each, they will be available through Thursday the 13th and the dance will be held at EHS on Sunday, January 16th.  If you have any questions please see Mrs Davis or a Student Council member for details.
