Morning Announcements - Friday, January 7, 2022
Happy Birthday to Katie Warren, Alexander Olmstead, Raven Swain and Jeffrey Esser!
 
Tonight at 6:00 Jv/Varsity Girls Basketball will be at home with Port Clinton. On Saturday at, 9:30 Jv wrestling is at Lake Invite. At 2:00, SBC Bowling is at Riverview Lanes. At 3:00, Varsity Wrestling is at St. Ed’s with Paris Graham, and at 4:30, freshman, Jv & Varsity Boys Basketball are at Vermilion.
 
The boys varsity lost to Port Clinton last night 63-48. The boys were led in scoring by Troy Rutherford, and Kayden Bourget, who both had 10 points each. The scoring was rounded out by Brady Barker who added 8 points, Jack Brown and Davin Wendt each chipped in 5 points, and Gabe Rang and Luke Blatnik each added 4 points. The boys return to action Saturday at Vermilion. Thank you to all the students that came to support the team last night! 
 
Congratulations to the Firelands Challenge team for another win in round 5 on Tuesday.  Edison's score of 47 was enough to secure a win over St. Paul with 41 points and Norwalk with 26 points.  The last round of the regular season will take place on January 19th.
 
Auditions for Once Upon a Mattress, Edison's spring musical, will be after school Tuesday January 11 and Thursday January 13.  Crew applications are due January 13. Information is available on the bulletin board in front of the auditorium.
 
Any student wishing to take the National Spanish Exam must sign up with Profesora or Profe by Thursday, January 13th. 
 
If anyone wants their name removed from the Snowball Ballot, please see Mrs Davis before Friday, January 7th at 7:50.
 
Speech & Debate Club - There will be a brief officer's meeting this Friday before school at 7:25 in the library. Please plan to attend. Students competing in the Chardon tournament this weekend should be at the high school no later than 8:10 on Saturday morning. 
 
Attention students attending the North Area Thespian Conference, we will meet at the high school at 7:30 AM Saturday and should be returning by 4:00.
 
Attention all members and potential members of National Honor Society - please remember that your service hours are due at 3 pm on Thursday, January 13th. Please turn all forms into Mrs. Facemire ASAP and see her with any questions.
 
Tickets for the SnowBall dance will go on sale Monday, January 10th for $10 each, they will be available through Thursday the 13th and the dance will be held at EHS on Sunday, January 16th.  If you have any questions please see Mrs Davis or a Student Council member for details.
