Morning Announcements - Friday, May 6, 2022
Happy birthday to McKenna Shaffoe, Jillian McDonnell, Michael Reed, Shawna Ridgeway, Reese Ott, Kylee Cook and Gabrielle Shupe

Today at 4:00 track is at Oak Harbor. Also at 4:00, tennis is at the Port Clinton Double Tournament. Varsity and Jv baseball will play Huron at the “Field of Dreams” in Vickery. JV at 5:00 and varsity at 7:15.

The varsity baseball team clinched a share of the SBC Bay Division title by beating state ranked Margaretta by a score of 7-0.  Thomas Simon pitched a complete game, giving up just 2 hits while striking out 10.  Clint Finnen had 3 hits.  Hayden Fry and Thomas Simon each singled, doubled, and had 2 RBI's.

The boys tennis team lost to Port Clinton on Thursday 2-3. Winning for the team at doubles were the teams of Otto Berckmueller/Noah Proctor and Jeff Snyder/Collin Smith. The team will participate in the Port Clinton Doubles Tournament later today.

Attention all students! Beginning, Monday May 9th and running until May 20th, TLC is collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. There will be two blue jugs, one for the guys and one for the girls that will be located in the library. If you have any canned bottles/cans laying around your house please consider taking the tabs off and place them in the jugs located in the library. Let's see who can fill up the bottle faster!

Attention all students! It’s that time of the year to nominate a teacher who has made an impact on you! The Milan Rotary & Interact clubs are sponsoring the Golden Apple Award that goes to a teacher who has not won previously, has been a teacher in the Edison system for 3 years & made a difference. You can nominate ANY teacher from the elementary, middle or high school.  Applications are in the library!  Please take a moment to fill out an application before Monday May 16th!

It’s almost prom week, and the junior class officers are hosting a spirit week beginning Monday. All classes are asked to participate in the spirit week regardless if you are attending prom or not, and we hope to see everybody dressed up. Monday is mathlete vs. athlete. Wear your suspenders and glasses or jerseys and basketball shoes. Tuesday is Adam Sandler day. So find your baggy shorts and t-shirts. Wednesday is country vs. country club. Bring your cowboy hats and boots or your tennis skirts and sweater vests. Thursday is Decades day. Pick your favorite decade whether it’s the 70s, 80s, or 90s. Friday is orange and blue day. Finish the week by showing your Charger pride.
